I was a little late getting a reservation and we needed economy so I had low expectations and instead found this place has a great location and was good We got room 99 which had a full kitchen We stayed two nights and are staying again on our return trip.

I really enjoyed my stay here - the location was excellent and the hotel was more than adequate. It's not brand-spanking new, but it was clean and had a lot of charm. I had a great stay in Victoria and was glad I stayed here and wasn't dissuaded by the more critical reviews. If you want everything new and modern, you can stay somewhere else. But if you want a clean hotel which is reasonably priced and walkable, then this a good choice.

This is a this is a decrepit location that needs all kinds of maintenance. The bathroom in our suite was horrible with faulty plumbing and a very dirty bathtub. The bed was comfortable and clean. The location is convenient but the overall building is disrepair and smells of air fresheners. Lots of homeless people in the neighborhood. Not pleasant to walk around in this area. Not particularly safe. Nope.

The manager agreed to show us the room when we arrived because when my husband saw the building he wanted to cancel the reservation. The building is in terrible shape. The bed was ok but the room needed a lot of work. The rugs looked old and dingy. The shower grout had mildew. The shower mat was old and dingy. The sink stopper was a small wire one that you buy for the kitchen sink. We stayed for 2 nights but never again. If you just want a place to sleep and cheap, then go for it.
