Very clean cottage
The loft area was very cramped - entering and exiting the loft was cumbersome - my wife and I slept on the futon on the main floor
The mattress in the loft was 6 inches wider than the bed frame - not an issue for us (see above) but if you did sleep up there it might be an issue
I thought it was weird that I needed to state (at check-in) if I wanted bed linens and towels which was then an extra charge - never seen this before in my travels.

Cabin 4 does not reflect well on this property. It sits behind a parking lot, tucked into the woods. It is old, run down and quite frankly, smells musty, mouldy and of septic backup in the bathroom. The stairs to the loft are treacherous to the degree that we did not use the loft beds. These stairs also block access into the bathroom. There was exposed wiring and the smoke detector was not installed or functional. Nothing seemed to work properly and we stopped asking for things that were missing. All of the contents seemed like leftovers from other cottages. Mismatched silverware, chipped dishes and a confusing stove. This cabin is grossly overpriced. The staff tried hard to please us and the property location is beautiful. We switched to a different cabin for 2 nights (for extra $). It was nearly perfect.

This was a disaster. We had booked for two nights. The “cabin” we were assigned appeared to have been a previously abandoned cabin in the woods. The beds were in a loft that had a rickety ladder for access. My wife and I are in our seventies and I could not imagine climbing up and down that ladder 3-4 times a night. When we complained we were told we could use the fold out bed. We told them we were not interested in a fold out bed in a run down dirty old cabin. We told them we were leaving as we did not feel safe and requested a refund which was denied. Be very careful renting here and shame on Hotels. com for promoting this facility.

We had a great stay, Jen was great and as well as Mark. We needed to add a day to our and they had the availability and were able to accommodate us. Check in and check out was super easy. The only issue we had was the bed a lot firmer than we were used to. The only other suggestion I would make is being bug spray! Its Northern Ontario and the bugs will carry you away! The lake view was great and the deck was great to sit on and relax.

Lovely accommodation. Mark text before we arrived and cottage was left open for us. Questions were answered quickly via message on check in even though he wasn’t there in person. The views were spectacular. Cottage was clean and well equipped. Would love to visit again one day - perhaps when there is less snow! Although it made it very beautiful and we had deer walking past on the frozen lake every evening.

We did not know we needed to bring our own towels and sheets. I did not see that mentioned. The cabin needed a really good cleaning. The bathroom was dirty. The floor had debris on it. The floor board by the sink had black mildew growing on it. For the price of the cabin it should have been clean. A dirty hand towel left on the back of the bathroom door and a men's pair of boxer shorts left under the bed. Not a good thing for a group of women to experience. The views were fantastic of the lake.

The bathroom had a dirty towel on the back door. The floor trim had black mold by the sink. The floor needed to be swept and washed down as well. The cabin could have used a good cleaning. But the views were amazing. We had a good stay but cleanliness was lacking.
