Staff is super friendly and accomodating

My room have bug beg. All family member ware bitten, My child has more than 10 bed bug bites.

You get what you pay for (for the area I suppose). The room was fine, although the private shower was out of order so we were offered the one down the hall. This is definitely less of a motel and more of an Airbnb/spare room. While nothing was blatantly dirty there were little things like stained sheets and crumbs on the futon that kept it from feeling completely clean. The hosts were friendly enough and helped us find parking down the block as there wasn't any out front (as expected).

Parking was advertised for $20 per night, however the host sent a message saying that street parking would be the way to go. Upon arrival, parking was incredibly hard to find. The host had sent two links of guides to parking in Montreal, however one of the two links is defunct. Furthermore, almost all street parking spots have a maximum time limit of two hours. My partner and I spent an hour driving around the neighbourhood, searching for parking, and messaging the host all the while. Finally, we called him, and he explained that parking is in an alleyway near the back of the building and the $20 is to be paid in cash. He showed us our room, which we quickly dropped our bags in and left. While we were waiting for our Uber, the host met us outside, where he made uncomfortable comments about my size. Upon returning from our event, we realized the bathroom was unswept and sheets blood-stained. My partner laid down on the bed and complained about itching, and Lo and behold, bug bites. We immediately got up and checked the couch and the bed to find each surface had bed bugs. We ended up packing all our stuff in garbage bags and sleeping in our car overnight instead of in the room we had paid for. Hosts were no help about getting any compensation and in fact revealed to us that they had known about the bed bug infestation. They were flippant and rude and said it would be “your word against mine” when we called the property manager. Here’s our word, what have you got to say?

The host welcomed me very well. The parking space is also easily available very close to the place. In the main fridge everything is available for breakfast. They provided me with milk, juice, egg, cereals and everything. It was a convenient stay.

1. The terrible thing is that there are bed bugs. I was bitten terribly and changed the accommodation on the same night. 2. It is a house, instead of a motel. So, the parking is not quite convenient. Either pay for the parking or park in another street to be free of charge.

The property owner shut down the whole property and didn’t even bother to tell us/cancel our booking. We reached there, the co manager told us the place is shut down because of bed bugs. We called them again just to be sure - the other co manager told us to hit the road or sleep with the bed bugs but no compensation for the trouble. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. Customer service at its worst.

The only advantage is the price. The room was not clean. In the bathroom, the shower faucets were broken and the fan was not working.

Upon Arrival, I had a hard time interracting with the staff, it was late so i didn't get time to go around the whole place and inspect it. As im sleeping I kept feeling bugs crawling on me. I didnt get any sleep. I open the lights in the middle of the night, and bugs are all over the walls. I remove my sheets and bugs all over the bed as well. I check my son and he has over 100 bug bites. Not only that but the towel is very old and smelly. It seems like the place does not clean towels or blankets, let alone the room

The manager was really nice area it was really convenient and close and it is such a pretty neighborhood the only thing I didn't like was the cleanliness there was a lot of hair on the floor and trash already in the trash but for the price that we got- the service that we got it was unbeatable for a 2 night stay. Recommend this place if you're on the go and trying to discover Montreal not if you are looking for a a place where you want to stay in all day.

My daughter, her friend and I had a great stay at Maison Montplaisir. It’s on a quiet street, around the corner from a bus line that is only a short ride to the metro. The accommodations are not fancy, but it is very quiet, has everything you need and and the beds are really comfy. The host is an absolute gem! He is so warm and inviting, it made the stay extra special. We will definitely be returning.

Stay away from this filthy place. The property smells of cigarette smoke throughout. The rooms, the linnen, the towels. Add a smell of dumpness to the towels and you get yourself doubting if they ever washed them. You just have to hope they did. But they do not feel like it anyways. At check in the manager asked us if we just booked. We didn't, we booked two weeks in advance. Still he said that the room was not ready and changed us to a different one. It was supposed to have private bathroom. That bathroom was in the hall and we were told it's just ours. In reality, there was a note on the door that the bathroom is for room 1 (our room) and the manager use. This just kills the definition of private bathroom. The bathroom is dirty, hair on the floor, in the tub, the sink is grey-ish and dirty too. The duvets have stains all over, and again you just hope this is something that did not come off and that they were washed. So glad we just stayed one night going through Montreal. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Just don't believe the cute pictures they have on the listing. It's absolutely disgusting in reality.

Owner asked me to leave tip. The place doesn’t deserve a tip. But the place is too close to the downtown.

The roll on bed for the children was terrible, lost its shape. Didn’t last even two hours. Some linens were stinky. Small spaces in the room & washroom.

Highly disappointing and NOT recommended! We had a terrible experience at this place. We booked for 5 people, but upon arrival, we were told the space could only accommodate 4. The host insisted that the property had a maximum limit of 4 guests, even though our reservation clearly showed 5. To make matters worse, the host and staff were rude and discriminatory, which made our stay extremely uncomfortable. Their behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful, and it felt like they were treating us unfairly based on our background. They also falsely advertised parking availability. There was no proper parking on-site, and the place they recommended for parking was unauthorized, which led to us receiving parking tickets. This added extra stress and unexpected costs to our trip. Overall, the stay was not worth the money or the hassle. Avoid this place at all costs. There are much better, honest, and more welcoming hosts out there.

Really smooth experience, you feel at home. It is close to the olympique village and can mostly walk everwhere.

The property was in a super cute neighborhood. Loved that the room was big enough for myself my partner and his kid. We had a fridge and a microwave. And an ensuite which was perfect. We had to head out early in the morning but we're super excited that breakfast is available. Definitely will be back. Robert the property manager was one of the most nicest hosts I've ever had!
