Tofino Motel Harborview

Great location!

Great location, very nice rooms and friendly staff. However, if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the right place. No staff members are on site after 7pm, and their policy regarding handling noise complaints prior to 10pm is very laisez-faire. For example, barking dogs are not considered a problem unless it occurs after 10pm. So, if a dog in the next unit has been left unattended for the evening and barks non-stop for several hours, the management will not take any action to resolve the issue or consider it a violation of their noise policy, which is worded in a way that sounds tough but actually lacks any real teeth. Basically, their view is that even if noise levels from any source including but not limited to dogs is excessive, as long as it occurs before 10pm it is considered acceptable regardless of how negatively it impacts other guests.

The room are surprisingly nice and clean, the view is really nice and the air ventilation is great. Definitely recommend to stay in here.

Quiet, clean, comfortable, convenient place to stay in Tofino.

We did not bring umbrellas so it was nice that the front desk had some good ones that we could borrow for the day.

The staff were helpful and responsive. Late check in was made simple and easy. :) The room was well appointed with unexpected extras. A thorough binder of information. The bound towels was a great touch. Amazing location and the photos don’t do any justice to the sublime view. Truly a one of a kind experience. Thank you.

Great location! I would definitely stay here again! Only minor issue was parking for a large truck was difficult because the angle of the spots.

The house keeping staff is super nice, professional and efficient

We booked our stay here at the last minute — it was the only place available during spring break — and honestly, our expectations were not high. But we were SHOCKED. It’s so good. Like… so so good. I can only speak to Room 102 (where we stayed), but it ticked every single box — and then some. The view? Gorgeous. The room? Super clean. Beds? Comfy. Bathroom? Spacious. The coffee was decent (important!). We were literally a half block from town, so everything was walkable. There was plenty of hot water, and the shower pressure never wavered. Wifi was solid and easy to connect to. Were the beds a little squeaky? Sure — but honestly, when aren’t hotel beds squeaky? Could we hear our upstairs neighbours? A bit, but that’s pretty standard. Did the furniture all match and look designer? No, but that just added to the cozy charm of the space. Reception was kind and helpful, and they gave us all the info we needed. They even offer fluffy beach towels — a rare find in Tofino — and leave little candies in the room and at the front desk (huge win with my kid!). If I had to make one suggestion, it’d be to add an outdoor tap or shower, plus a spot to hang wetsuits to dry. That would’ve been the cherry on top. Overall? Total hidden gem. We’d absolutely stay again.

A great location near so much. Couldn’t ask for more there. The staff was kind and loved our view. Only thing I’d really note as not spectacular is the building is older some there were a few cracks and crevices, but overall a nice spot.

Beautiful harbour view from our room. Very clean and could not have been more central for walking to restaurants and places in town. Suited our weekend stay as a base for exploring the area.
