The hotel is in an excellent location, closed to lots of restaurants and with an amazing view of the river. But what really stood out was the arte and help received from K, who took the time to explain in minute details everything I had do to on K visit to the National Park and even was so kind to take care of all the bookings for me, which made my trip a lot easier and enjoyable. Thank very much for everything and I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Wulingyuan.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — The Best Stay We Had in All of Zhangjiajie If you’re coming to Wulingyuan, Leading Men Hotel is hands-down the place you want to stay. I’ve travelled all over China on this trip and no hotel came close to the kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality we experienced here. From the moment we arrived, Ke and Mr. Wong treated us like family — not guests. They weren’t just helpful… they were invested in making sure we had the perfect Zhangjiajie experience. Every single day they went above and beyond: • helping us plan our routes through the national park, • explaining the best entrances depending on the weather, • telling us exactly where to go to avoid the crowds, • organising transport when needed, • and even mapping out the timings so we could fit everything in without rushing. And they do all of this with zero stress, zero upselling, just pure generosity and care. You can tell they genuinely love helping travellers. The rooms themselves were spotless — genuinely one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed in China. Fresh smell, crisp sheets, tidy bathrooms, everything perfectly maintained. The whole hotel felt warm, calm, and incredibly well looked after. The location is also unbeatable: close to the national park entrances, shops, restaurants, and anything else you might need. But honestly, what makes this place special are the people running it. Ke and Mr. Wong you guys are the best!

Dont stay here. The property is not in the location listed on Expedia. The beds are like a wood plank with a bed cover. The dust under the beds was thick and grimey. The photos are not recent. The owners are nice, but its not what you think youre paying for based off the photos.

Stayed 7 nights and it was perfect! A super hotel: immaculately clean, comfortable, quality furnishings, well centrally situated by the river. I had a room on the top floor, it was silent and nice view. Super breakfast, cooked to order. The staff were always charming and caring. The owner, Zhijun, was probably the most helpful and generous I've ever met in a lifetime of travel! He spoke some English, and used phone - translate when necessary. For it's size and price this little hotel must be top - rated in all of China. Very highly recommended.

Z-Up is like a home away from home. The manager really took very good care of us. They helped us book the tickets to the parks and the shows and even lent us their personal mobile phone so that we can communicate with the ticket seller to pick up our ticket to the Fairy fox show. We booked the return transport with them since the show ended quite late and they picked us up personally to make sure that we find the car as the parking lot was full with many people. I’ve never had such amazing personalised service in all my previous travels! I will definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is better described as a glorified bed & breakfast place where management tries real hard to give you personal attention. Be aware of how little we pay for daily rate to be more forgiving of their lack of certain basic amenities as phone in room and better housekeeping. Manager (Mr. Zhang) tries real hard to please, including helping us plan great visits to venues and arrange reliable rides. He worked tirelessly night and day. They also do a home cooking multi course tasty meal for a small fee which we enjoyed. Area is very walk-able and with plenty of interesting shops and restaurants, not to mention the river right across from our room. We had to leave super early for morning flight and he sent a care breakfast package to go with us. Thanks! Do NOT patronize the foot massage salon next to the hotel, a major rip off and con artist. It is NOT part of hotel, so enter at your own risk! If I had more time, i would turn them in to local consumer fraud unit.

We stayed at Z-up when visiting Zhangjiajie National Park. The property is impeccable and its location is perfect to wonder around town after seeing the park. Breakfast is abundant and included. The rooms are very roomy and have a beautiful design. Best of all was the staff: they were super helpful to arrange a late airport pick up, speedy check-in, super early check-out, and were always attentive of any need we might have had. This hotel is run by the friendliest and most helpful manager we have ever come across in China. He helped plan out our two-day itinerary in Zhangjiajie to make the most of our time there, arranging everything from transportation to booking attraction tickets to planning the best routes through the park. The room was very clean and comfortable, the wifi was reasonably fast, the breakfast was good and cooked to order, and the staff was friendly. The location of the hotel was only about a 10-15 min walk to the east gate of the park and right along the river with a beautiful view. Transportation to and from the airport or train station is only 100-120 rmb depending on time of day, considerably less than what taxi drivers in the area charge (it's a 45 min drive). We would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers coming to Zhangjiajie, and we will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Mr Zhang!
