This hotel is super close to NYU Shanghai. If you're visiting someone at the school, then this is the place to stay. There are street food vendors close by (yummy food), and a Family Mart just a short walk away. The Metro is about a 10 minute walk.

Because there were a big group booking, I end up got a free upgrade to the executive floor. Walking distance to Lujiazui Financial district and subway station. New York University Shanghai Campus and Shanghai Future Exchange Center are just across the street from the hotel.

I would come back and stay at this hotel. It’s located about 40 minutes away from Pudong airport and located at a quite location. Staffs are nice but not very well English speaking. I asked for more drinking water and the lady ended up didn’t charge me (although the front desk said there’s additional charge). The concierge is very patiently helped me find a tour (although sometimes he got distracted trying to help other customers). It’s not his fault but Chinese customers don’t know much about waiting on their turn. You may find annoying sometimes. I ate twice at the hotel dining and wantan (雲吞湯）soup is not bad.

The room smelled mouldy. Furniture was all rotten and chipped, no iron in the room. Worst of all, the a/c would shut off in the nite.

Staff in the front desk can’t speak english. Very hard to communicate w/ them esp. if you need something or if your need some information. We had a hard time looking for the airport transfer driver we booked directly from the concierge of the hotel.

Good quiet hotel near the stock exchange although there are more luxurious options close by. The staff was helpful and friendly with limited English. Breakfast had both western and Asian options. There is an ATM in the lobby that will dispense cash from US debit cards as several banks across street don’t work with non-Chinese cards. About a 10min walk to century ave metro line which has several lines for convenient travel options.

The room looks old. The hotel desperately needs a a few things changed. The shower cabin was old, moldy and barely functional; it brings the whole bathroom down.
They show an exchange rate at the service desk but refuse to change money.
Asked the concierge to call a taxi. They called a private car with no taxi rights and overcharged me with more than double rate and no receipt. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone.

The staff at the front desk were not helpful. When I asked to change the doller to Chinese money, I was told to go across the street to the bank. At breakfast, the hostress were unfriendly asking me to pay immediately after sitting down at the table.
