I loved this property; it was perfect for our 5-day break over Christmas in December 2018. There are 5 cabins, in a row, in an absolutely beautiful garden with lush tropical plants and flowers, and there is a restaurant attached, which has a wonderful ambiance, and which serves really great Mexican food, using fresh, local and home-cooked ingredients (cooked by Frederico). Anja and Frederico are excellent hosts. Anja really went above and beyond in serving us: she got up early to get us (excellent) coffee on 2 days, and she booked a trip to Manuel Antonio Park for us, and she often sat and chatted with us over a glass of wine in the evening, when she wasn't serving in the restaurant. We could not have been happier with the hosts. The beautiful beach and the ocean are 200 yards away. We could swim whenever we wanted. The rooms were extremely comfortable and well proportioned, with lovely hot showers. We would definitely come here again.

Anya and Frederico were super hosts! They made us feel at home. Everything was neat, clean, and beautifully decorated with the creative use of rocks and other natural décor, including beautiful bamboo bar with swinging saloon door leading to kitchen. We spent hrs. in the restaurant area, not only eating, but talking, laughing, and enjoying the peaceful sights and sounds of the rainy season! The beach is my favorite with the river emptying into the ocean....fresh water waves flowing out, salt water waves rolling in! This was my 9th trip to Costa Rica and the king size mattress was by far the most comfortable I've slept on! I highly recommend Mi Vida Lodge for unforgettable, peaceful, rest, and relaxation.

Fantastic retreat away from hustle & bustle of Manuel Antonio, a car is needed! The beach is gorgeous and a 2 min walk away & we were lucky enough to have a family of sloths outside the guest house to watch!

Staff and owners were very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is lovely and had great food. The air conditioning in the room worked well and was a welcome reprieve from the heat. The room itself was fairly basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel is just a few minutes walk to the beach. This stretch of the Pacific Coast is undeveloped and quiet. Even during "Holy Week" we had much of the beach to our selves.
