The woman at the front desk who checked us in and helped us make a reservation in the restaurant was so gracious and helpful that she alone deserves five stars! All staff were great, and treated us with kindness and helpfulness. Upon arrival, we were greeted with ice cold lemonade, which was much appreciated after a long day in the warm weather. The service staff definitely enhanced our stay. Thanks to all!

love the deco of the lodge. breakfast was really good. the fountains, and gardens are very nice. Only thing is ventilation in the bathroom is not that great. otherwise, everything is fantastic. Location is super convenient to visit Monteverde Park.

Beautiful Landscaping. Nice facilities. The wheelchair access to the restaurant was locked and had table in front of it with people eating at the table. It took them 5 mins to find the key. The next two times I attempted to go to the restaurant the table was back and people had to be moved in the middle of their meal to allow wheelchair access. This was disruptive and uncomfortable.

Monteverdi Country Lodge was very nice stop on our first trip to Costa Rica. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and kind, and that alone made the stay 5 stars in my book. The room was clean and comfortable. My only small complaint were a slight lack of electrical sockets in our room. We made do, but given how dependent we all are on our devices, a few more would have been nice. Also, the location is set back from the main road, so the location would not really be considered walkable to anything but local restaurants. That being said we had a car for the daytime, and the lovely staff called us taxis in the evening, problem solved. The property itself is lovely for sitting outside for drinks or a meal, and again, the staff are top notch!

This property has the feel of a mountain lodge. It feels very relaxing. That also means it won’t be a 5 star hotel with all those amenities. For what it offers high up in the mountain, we are very appreciative.
The hot water can run cold if too many people use at same time ( a common issue anywhere) but it will heat up after peak usage.

Nice place in general but various issues including difficulty checking-in (could not find our reservation), lousy service at the restaurant and food not that great, no coffee for breakfast one morning after being told for 40 minutes that there would be some in two minutes, reception staff not overly familiar with tours, and cleaning staff very loud outside starting at 6:00 am!

Very basic hotel. Overpriced given how basic it was. Clean but no fan or windows that opened so had to have the door open for air. Our room was At the top of the stairs and overlooked the courtyard. Noisy with staff cleaning up late at night and then setting up at 530 am.

Friendly staff and well kept property. They could use more outlets in each room. They may need a little heating source in their rooms or maybe more blankets for cool nights. They did our laundry quickly for $25 (since we came back from zipping soaking wet).

Highly Recommend ! Not for a long stay but a brief 1-3 nights is fine. The grounds are immaculate and well maintained.staff is super friendly and hospitable-especially, Abby! We were glad we picked this stay and would return.

The hotel environment was beautiful, but the room was too small with nothing except a coffee machine. We also experienced a short period of outage, due to the strong rain and wind . We didn’t prepare for this and got a little panic.
