The Coast Beachfront Hotel

We booked both beachfront bungalows for 9 days for our family. We arrived late afternoon and the girl at the desk welcomed us by name and checked us in with no issues. She explained the breakfast options and gave us the form which we filled out and returned to the office. The property is not large with a pool situated on the middle of the buildings. The rooms were great with a small kitchen that fulfilled all of our needs. Never an issue getting a chair on the beach or pool. We walked just about everywhere we needed to go and got a taxi once. The beach is one of the nicest we’ve ever been to and the ocean was warm. Decent waves, we surfed just about every day. The only negatives we had were as Expedia Gold members were supposed to have $10 per day per room credit, which we would’ve used towards our surfboard rental. The girl at the front desk said it was per reservation even though it is clear in my reservation. Life’s too short to argue but they weren’t budging on it. Second complaint is the maid service. They gave us a form that said towels would be changed every three days, that did not happen. The four day my daughter left her towel on the floor and they just hung it up. We had to go request new beach and bathing towels twice. Overall it was a beautiful property and I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

The staff was always helpful and we were always greeted with a smile. What I think could be helpful is a small cooler for each room because even though they have ice and water refill, they is no way to keep things cold. We used our ice tray from the fridge and then others started doing the same. There are no drinks to purchase at the hotel either pop or alcohol so it would be greatly helpful.

Nice people, great staff and a great place to be on the beach!

This lovely property operates more like a B&B and if you are happy with that it is a great choice and you will not be disappoinred. We will return.

I can not say enough good things about the Coast Beachfront Hotel. The value was amazing. The breakfasts were delicious…the property was lovely. The location was perfect… close enough to town to be walkable… but not too noisy. The best part was the staff… the nicest people in the universe!!!

Great property on the beach. A little pricey, but well worth it for the convenience, safety and amenities. The pool is small but very nice. It is not a huge hotel, and the vibe is really nice. We will be back!

This was a lovely well kept hotel on the outskirts of Tamarindo. The property is beautiful and right on a gorgeous beach, but with a shaded area with beach chairs. The hotel staff is especially friendly, the beach area is also staffed. The room was spacious and clean, with a fridge, stovetop and microwave. Breakfast is delivered to your room, which has a patio so you can eat inside or out. Bathroom huge and very clean. Highly recommend!

This hotel was excellent in every way. The room was super clean. The room we were in had a small little patio with a couple of chairs. The ocean literally a few feet from the hotel! The pool was clean and really never crowded. Short walk to all the amazing restaurants. The security was great as there was always someone watching what was going on at the property The security people super nice and we felt very safe. The best part of this property is the entire staff, from the front desk people to the housecleaning svc and the people delivering our breakfast each morning. We were greeted everyday by our names! They made an effort to really know who we were! We've never experienced that before. Dejan and Ruby were the best! They were so helpful and super nice. The Costa Rican people are some of the friendliest people we have ever met. We will definitely be back!

Perfect location for access to the lovely beach, local shopping and numerous dining options. The view from our patio was epic and the property is clean, well maintained and the staff was very friendly and happy to help in anyway. Highly recommended! Pura Vida!

Had a great stay here! Convenient to walk to shop and eat! On the beach-safe, friendly staff who are so very helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Except for the location and this place being quiet, this place is not worth more than 3 stars. 1st issue why this place can never get more than 3 stars is breakfast, you get choices of bread, yougurt, fruits, cereal and coffee to be delivered to your room at a set time, if that time slot is available, (S.O.L.) There is no restaurant or other meals available. There is no protein like meat or eggs as an option, the fruits i received were a couple over ripen bananas and 2 rotten apples which i took a pic of and showed the front desk, and they had nothing to say... As we were getting ready to check out, they turned off the water without any warning ( no phone in the room either) so as i left my room to go notify the front desk, i saw 2 maintenance men and they advised me it will be turned back on in 10 more mins, so i told them this will delay my ontime checkout at 11am, so please notify the front desk, they said ok. So per the RULES, you have to wash all the dishes you use in the room, so with us just finishing up breakfast @ 9:40, thats when the water was turned off. Now we have to still shower and clean up. Guess what, @ 11:01am someone is knocking on the door to ad vise me checkout is 11am. SMH ! The place was rated highly by previous reviews, that's why i booked, but it's overrated,.not worth the money to me.

Want to feel like the King of the Castle? Book the 'Villa' at Coast Beachfront Hotel! About 1400sf of SWEET beach pad- complete with a full kitchen; 2 master suites; several fans- and an ocean view that's right out back! NICE private balcony overlooking the pool...they even bring you great b'fast every morning- delivered to your big family table on the patio- when you want it! Staff is ULTRA nice- they made it a point to remember all our names by the end of the first day! Full security front and back, and great location central to the town and grocery shopping. The rest of the units are nice, too- but the VILLA is our go-to choice! (and the friendly raccoons; howler monkeys and colorful birds are a welcome treat as you relax on your patio and give Thanks!) TRY THIS PLACE!
