Armathwaite Hall Hotel

Checking we were waiting about 45mins, room was lovely and food was lovely although trying to book a table.was hard work.

Lovely spa , lovely room ,lovely staff, cocktails were a fortune and breakfast was really sub standard, very dissapointed considering the price we paid for it

Excellent service at the outdoor pool, reception and the Grill

Wow, what can I say… thank you so much Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa for making our last night of our honeymoon so special. If you want a luxury nights stay with superb service, food and comfort then I couldn’t recommend this hotel anymore. Thank you for all the special touches to make our honeymoon special. It was so appreciated!

Beautiful building and spa facilities

The bedrooms in this hotel are very poor and do not meet the same standards as the rest of the hotel. Our room had a distinct bad sweaty smell, the ceiling in the bathroom was falling in, the bath panel was cracked in 2 places, the sink was chipped, the floor tiles were cracked in several places, the mirror was broken, stains on the net curtains, bed side lamp and one of the pillowcases. The arms of the sofa were broken and hanging on for dear life! It was so hot in the room, sleeping was difficult. There was also bugs on the ceiling that stayed there for the duration of our stay. When we arrived, there were dirty dishes from the last guest sat outside our room. These stayed there all day until I complained about it later that evening. Breakfast was not good. Ordered a full English. The beans were cold and it was obvious the mushroom, tomato and hash brown were not freshly cooked and had be kept warm for some time. It was such a disappointment that we cancelled our dinner reservation at that restaurant in case our dinner was made by the same chefs. For dinner we ate at The Grill on both nights and the food was excellent as was the service. We visited the spa twice during our stay and also booked a treatment and that too was a really nice experience too. From the linen on the beds to the napkins in the restaraunt, had a greasy kind of smell which wasn’t pleasant. With a bit more attention to detail, this hotel could

Had a great relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel and surroundings. Perfect location.

Hotel looks great from the outside and the house inside is very grand. Not obvious where the reception was (no sign). Check in was easy. Found the room tricky to find due to lack of signage. Room was clean and well presented but dated and felt very basic for the price. Went to The Grill restaurant - food was average and overpriced. We had breakfast included - buffet continental/ fresh cooked hot breakfast. Well I say fresh - bacon was rock hard as well as the black pudding - could have been a lot better. Staff didn't seem bothered overall about service. Didn't particularly feel welcomed (apart from check in). Drinks also expensive for what you get. Overall a good hotel but definitely not 4*

Excellent spa facilities and lovely old school hospitality.

Stunning location, the quiet part of the Lakes. Amazing lounges , great views. Five star spa , within walking distance of The Lakes distillery, what more could you want ? Definitely recommend and we look forward to staying there again. Very friendly and helpful staff too.

We spent a one night stay at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and immediately wished it was for longer...The reception staff were exceptionally welcoming, indeed all staff were friendly and helpful. Fortunately, the Lake View resturant was open for dinner during our stay; the food was delightful, well presented and perfectly proportioned. The spa was lovely, especially, the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the gardens; which seemed a big hit with all of the guests...Overall we had a wonderful, restful stay and we fully intend to return in the very near future.

Beautiful hotel with lovely grounds and facilities. We had an issue on our first night but it was all handled brilliantly when we mentioned it. Thank you for making our stay so special! We'll be back one day.

Fantastic from start to finish. Staff couldn't do enough, food excellent and rooms gorgeous. The views are stunning and close to Keswick . Highly recommended

Amazing stay! The hotel is set in the most amazing grounds. Our room was a garden suite which was modern and comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will most certainly stay again.

We have just returned from a beautiful weekend here. The whole experience from start to finish has been nothing but perfect. The garden view suite was stunning comfortable and relaxing and had everything you need. We dined at the grill in the evening which was delicious and the staff were so attentive. We visited the spa twice I loved how you could go whenever you wanted without needing to book. The infinity pool was lovely and relaxing! Breakfast was also delicious with lots of choice. We can't wait to return in the future. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel with amazing views. Good base to explore the lakes in luxury. Car is a must though as a little remote.
