PLEASE PLEASE BE WARNED BEFORE BOOKING AT THIS HOTEL. ●THIS FILTHY & DISGUSTING HOTEL HOSTED A SEX PARTY IN THE SUITE NEXT DOOR TO MYSELF ON MY FIRST NIGHT OF STAYING THERE ,WITH UP TO 8 PEOPLE IN THE ROOM NEXT DOOR IN AN 8 HOUR SESSION ALL NIGHT. ● HOUSEKEEPING WAKES YOU UP BY BANGING ON YOUR DOOR & DEMANDS TO COME INTO YOUR ROOM VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING (NO DO NOT DISTURB SIGNS AVAILABLE AT ALL).EVERY MORNING VERY EARLY,THEY MAKE A DREADFUL PROLONGED RACKET IN THE CORRIDORS. ● DONT EXPECT TO GET ANY SLEEP WHATSOEVER AS THE WALLS ARE SO SO DREADFULLY PAPER THIN YOU CAN HERE ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IN EACH ROOM GOING ON WORD FOR WORD,INCLUDING PEOPLE GOING FULLY TO THE WC ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT,ITS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING & AWFUL. ● THE ROOM I WAS PLACED IN,THE BATHROOM HAD BROWN STAINS SPLATTERED UP THE BACK WALL TILES & PIPE WORK ,IT LOOKED LIKE IT HAD NEVER BEEN CLEANED EVER.THE SHOWER CURTAIN ALSO SMELT ROTTEN. ● THE ROOMS ARE SO BASHED UP, THEY ARE DESPERATELY BADLY IN NEED OF SOME MUCH TLC & PAINTING. ● DONT DRINK FROM THE TEA & COFFEE MAKING FACILITIES WHATEVER YOU DO,AS MINE HAD DUST & MUCK ALL ROUND THEM EVERY WHERE. ●DONT BOTHER COMPLAINING TO THE MANAGER OF THE HOTEL OR THE MANAGEMENT OWNERS AS THEY SHAMEFULLY & ARROGANTLY JUST GHOST & IGNORE YOU. THIS HAS TO BE BY FAR & AWAY THE MOST GROSSLY DISGUSTING & APPALLING WORST EVER HOTEL I HAVE EVER HAD THE GROSS MISFORTUNE OF EVER STAYING IN BOTH IN THE UK & ABROAD EVER IN OVER 40 YEARS OF EXTENSIVE TRAVELING.

Staff were helpful, but the overall appearance of the place is it needs updating

Clean & comfortable room & good value for money. The evening meal & buffet breakfast in the club house were also better than average, overall a decent place to stay

Fast, easy check in, polite staff and a comfortable room. Would happily stay here again when in the area.

Great place to stay on a budget (certainly over the last month that I’ve stayed there due to work. Friendly staff. Very clean room and bathroom. Plenty of parking with EV charging available. Golf club for food, drinks and extra sport on TV in the bar. Short walk into Coleford.

It was a nice room for what I needed but it was a little noisy. You could hear door banging and unfortunately in the room I was in the people above moving around and the water pipes made a noise too. When myself or someone else (don't know who) used the cold water be it by the tap or flushing the pipes would vibrate with a droning sound.

We had a wonderful stay at Bells and would stay there again. The only negative comment we have about the hotel is that the walls are very thin and you can hear people walking in the corridor and talking in the adjoining rooms like they are sat next to you. Which when it’s a rowdy bunch of dudes on a golfing weekend means no sleep.

Good value for money , but really needs refurbishment, food menu ok , breakfast gvfm

Stayed in a single room. Clean snd simple. Can be noisy when people walking up snd down the corridor and dhdn a TV is bring played loud quite a few tooms get effected.

Staff are super friendly and professional. They always go out of their way to satisfy their customers. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

The stay was good, hotel room had the ideal room temperature and the shower was powerful. Arrived few hours after check in but did phone ahead, this wasn't an issue. Staff very accommodating.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful Staff. Comfortable stay. Tasty Supper. Good Breakfast however the bread would have been better toasted underneath the smashed avocado and poached eggs which were exemplary. Thank you all. Best regards from Amanda

Was a alright stay for a couple of nights. Expected a bit more in terms of greetings from staff and attention to some details e.g. marks on the walls. Otherwise good night stay

Gave us what we needed at a reasonable price.

Within easy reach to Clearwell Castle. Impossible to get a taxi after 10pm

Convenient for our needs and very fairly priced.
