The hotel was very nicely located in a rather quiet street, yet 2 minutes away from a major train and subway station. Staff was very helpful and accomodating with us. 24 hours front desk was a big plus. We loved the breakfast ... delicious and so filling to start off a day of visits and walking around !

The location is excellent you are right in the heart of Paddington with the train and the tube so close it’s really convenient. Staff were friendly A mini fridge would be useful and ceiling fan for hot days but a very nice place to stay , safe area and tidy

In an excellent location with very helpful staff. On arrival a couple of things were not as clean as one would hope (multiple hairs in bathroom and bedding & shower curtain was beginning to mold). However, when brought to staff attention they were able to fix this for us. A big plus for this area is that the hotel has an elevator.

Location is great but no A/C in the room. We all felt hot all night.. we had to sleep with the windows open to try to get some breeze. Maybe great hotel during cooler season, but not for summer months.

Our room smelled very badly, like moisture or mildew. There was a soaking wet towel sitting on our toilet when we arrived. The room did not look like the image of the room I selected when booking. They were fully booked so we couldn’t move to a different room. I would not stay here again, but the location was good relative to the train.

Listen, I know what I booked... we had a 14 hour layover and needed something close to Paddington Station. It is not a bad place, just don't expect too much. Check in was easy and the staff were very nice and helpful. No air conditioning but there was a nice oscillating fan we plugged in. The room had 3 beds. It was a tight fit but fine for just a long layer place to crash. The bathroom door fell off when we touched it (came out of the screws).

This hotel is situated very close to Paddington station with train lines and underground available. It is located in an enclave of hotels situated around a London town square which is available to the public and offers a nice close green space. This hotel is obviously older in style and presentation with very steep narrow stairs to access upper floors and no lift available. So be warned if you are not agile or carrying very heavy bags. I stayed in a single room which like London hotels was very small in size approximately 8 square metres. The hotel is evidently showing its age in terms of common areas and signs of wear and tear, and other than the small reception area, there appears to be little other available public space. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and the ensuite has been renovated in recent times and was well presented with contemporary decor. The staff on the front counter do not appear to have much sense of hospitality, seemingly being indifferent to customers with no smiles, no engagement in conversation or welcome vibes. Business was conducted via them remaining seated behind the counter and nothing offered by way of engagement, information provision or offers of assistance. Perhaps hospitality is not their forte. If you are in London and planning to be out and about the majority of the time, then this hotel will do the job. If you are looking for ambience or a nice aesthetic appeal, then this is probably not the place for you.

Friendly helpful staff. Clean and well kept property. No lift, no AC and poor water pressure at the top floor. It was ok for the price.

Like a throw back to the 70s. Booked a room as the trains were being cancelled so thought I would just get a room til the morning. Big mistake. Firstly the room they gave me was around 7ft by 5 (that included the shower!) nothing more than a cupboard. So when I asked for another they gave me a top floor room which was larger. The room was like all of them, hadn’t been updated for at least 40 years. Fan was broke and tv remote was too. Hotel worker did his best and walked up and down the four flights of stairs (no lifts!) to try and help. I’m the end decided to leave after 3 hour and get the train. Too depressing! Hate leaving bad reviews but they need to spend some money!

I really liked the location of the hotel. It was a few minutes walk from the train station and there were many restaurants and newsagents across the road and nearby. The room had everything I needed including plenty of towels, toiletries, hair dryer and excellent lighting. The only downside is the very small size of the room. It is a boxroom within which they installed an ensuite bathroom! There was hardly any space to walk and I struggled to move in the bathroom. It was a little claustrophobic. Another issue was that there was no lift. I had a heavy luggage and my room was in the 2 and half floor. Each floor had a lot of stairs and stairway was quite narrow.

Friendly, helpful staff. Easy to get to. Small but comfortable room. Downside of a single room is a small toilet / shower area. Shower not very well thought through. Head fitted on a high bracket with the water coming straight out onto the opposite wall. I am tall enough to reach up and remove it from the bracket and use it as a hand shower. Shorter guests would have real problems with this.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in anywhere in the world. No lift for luggage, extremely dirty, smelly carpets and no assistance. Also no AC, feels like a furnace during the summer. Not worth it

Toilet seat covered in mold and shower had not been properly cleaned. Had pubic hair all over. Unacceptable for the price we paid for the room. Our room was located in the lower level of the hotel and the rumbling of the trains on the underground were noticeable.

The place was clean and nice, but the huge problem is that there are no elevators. The guy at the front desk did finally help us carry our bags up the narrow and steep 3 flights of stairs to our room which helped us a lot. Also, there's no air conditioning. That's a no go if the weather is really hot.

There’s hotel doesn’t have elevators and you have to climb if you are on the fourth floor altogether 70 stairs and they’re very narrow so that’s the disadvantage of this hotel didn’t like it. They should have an elevator because you’re carrying your suitcase all the stuff up and it’s very harder there’s no help for that. Be aware of it. Ask the room number first before you check in.
