Brompton Hotel

The hotel is very low budget. The entrance to reception is grubby the carpet and bannister rail needs a good clean. Our room was ok the bedding was clean but the beds were high because they were on (what I can only call) an Iron base with 6 legs, having said that the mattresses were of good quality. Apparently our room had just been refurbished so the bathroom was all new and shiny and it looked lovely. But, no soap, we had to keep popping into the shower where there was a fixed bottle of shower gel on the wall (no, they don't provide soap for the sink, we did ask). We also had to ask for tea & coffee making facilities as there wasn't any in our room due to the refurbishment (they were waiting for smaller kettles) they did however find an old larger kettle and provided us with tea tray, they did go out of their way to get a tea tray together, so all credit to them 👍. There was no hooks or wardrobe so nowhere to hang your clothes also no chair in the room which made it awkward putting your socks on (we're of a certain age 😉). The staff were very polite and helpful, can't complain about their customer service, one in particular was dressed very smartly with his shirt, tie and waistcoat 👍. We were only book in for one night so it was bearable. It seems like they are starting to refurbish the rooms which is good. Don't book this hotel if you want a bit of luxury. All in all it was ok staff polite and helpful the plus is that it's surrounded by all the amenities you need.

Excellent position but very. Very basic facilities and not worth the cost

If I go to London, I stay at the Brompton. The staff are excellent. It *is* a no frills hotel... but the price is great. The location is great. No lift ("elevator") No public reception rooms. But nice rooms, clean sheets, good plumbing., great location

The staff here were excellent, very helpful and accommodating from start to finish. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed, also seemed well soundproof as we had a very quiet night despite room overlooking the road. Lovely to have patio doors in our rooms. We had booked two rooms and they were happy to try to offer us rooms beside each other, which in this case they were able to. Very happy customers who will definitely return if looking for accommodation in the area. It's a great location very close to museums, tube station, cafes and food shops!

Friendly helpful staff . It was very nice to have a room upgrade. The hotel improvements are successfully underway. The price is fair for the area. They must get the tv channel access issue sorted. You can’t view tv without knowing to bring smart tv app codes from home. We’d def. stay here again.

Harry on reception was so helpful. The location is ideal for easy tube access to all London. 10 minute walk to V&A, Natural History Museum, and Science Museum. 20 minutes to Royal Albert Hall, Kensington gardens and Hyde Park. Lots of good eateries within a minute or two.

Great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped with a kettle and a mini fridge. The room could use a new carpet though.

Brilliant location. Near tube station and museums. Plenty of amenities/shops nearby. Room basic, but had everything needed. Tea/coffee, TV, WiFi, clean towels and overall very clean,warm and well lit. Staff/reception friendly. Several flights of stairs to room, which I knew before booking, but offer of help was made even though not needed.

Basic. No frills. Safe and clean. Staff very friendly. Fridge in room is a nice feature. Excellent location for a variety of landmarks. Lots of useful shops and restaurants within walking distance. Good value for money.

Super fast check in, courteous and informative receptionist (Harry?). Room was spotless and appropriately sized for the rate. Quiet too. Great for families visiting the museums.
