Really nice and relaxing hotel in beautiful surroundings. It was clean and staff were friendly. Pricey drinks and a hard bed but bearable for 1 night.

I stay at Burley Manor most weeks on Business. Love it here. The most peaceful place I've ever stayed in. The hole place gives off a sense of calm as soon as you walk through the wonderful old wooden entrance doors. Sat out in the evening watching the red dear grazing is something special.

With fallow and red deer park and an outdoor pool, cat friendly, close proximity to ornamental avenue and the arboretum and with loads of new forest horses roaming free you can relax and enjoy the scorching heat knowing that your aim got through.

Beautiful hotel. Stunning views. The receptionist when we came in was very helpful however the rest of service was average. The wardrobe had no room for 6 clothes. The food was average with a well overpriced continental breakfast and the same for a salad in the evening. A shame because this hotel could be excellent if it was managed better.

Location is impressive and downstairs is nicely decorated. First impression on reception was poor-It was utter chaos. Team seemed confused by several bookings-not just ours. We were asked if we wanted to book dinner and we said yes, when we arrived for our booking, the restaurant staff had no idea of booking which was embarrassing. Dinner was ok but vastly overpriced- I spent £113 for 2courses and no drinks. Service issues continued in the morning when the breakfast staff couldn’t find our booking, and then couldn’t tell us if we were allowed any cooked items, again nice and embarrassing. There was option to cook your own egg, staff didn’t how to use equipment. Bedrooms were ok, bath was nice but furniture was faded and tatty- simply not worth the more luxury price tag of £466 for 2 rooms for 1 night (and this was on offer). On a plus, cleaning staff were polite and friendly and hotel was clean overall. Pros- Location, setting,Deer on grounds, cleanliness, cleaning staff. Cons- Welcome to hotel, staff knowledge, service overall, overpriced.

It’s rather a shame that the spa facilities are not available unless you book these a month in advance as the hotel has to arrange for staff to come in specifically for the treatment you book

The breakfast was poorly organised with lots of the food and drink not out on arrival. The manager seemed to have a very short temper with the staff and whilst they were getting stuff wrong it seemed like they were new and or hadn’t received adequate training.

Beautiful surroundings, beautiful Manor house, but rooms very ‘tired’, dogs allowed in restaurant and were actually sitting on the dining chairs or being fed with items from breakfast bar, very slow service at dinner, more than an hour wait, drinks billed incorrectly, couldn’t assist with taxi bookings, unsatisfactory level of cleanliness and upkeep of hotel.

Great trip to Burley for our anniversary and to visit Dogstival, the venue is great and staff and food fab, the condition of the room was however tired, tatty and damaged (one chair the seat had fallen through), could really do with a little TLC, otherwise comfortable.

We based ourselves here for a long weekend to visit some places in the New Forest, we found it a pleasant and comfortable hotel, ideally placed for our requirements with lovely views and nice staff. We stay in plenty of hotels throughout the country and this is probably the best we have found in quite some time.

The staff where perfect, the food was excellent. Unfortunately, the building is in need of a lot of capital investment. The plumbing is poor, the window frames are rotten the curtains are torn and the dining room upholstery is thread bare and tatty. Just basicaly run down and not mantained. Needs more money spent on the up keep. The service staff are doing a great job, the cooking staff are doing a 1st class job. The building is just crumbling away due to old age and neglect.
