Not being informed about parking charges before arriving.new stealth tax not charged by Travelodge or ibis at motorway services.i will not be using these hotels in future if they expect me to pay for the car to sleep

Booking with expedia was a mistake. The room cost is more and i was not even booked in. Had to wait outside with my 3 young kids till i got it sorted on the phone (after 45 mins)

Room was disgusting, bedding had been changed but that was it. Upon checking out it was claimed by the desk clerk that the manager had/does check every room for cleanliness - over a 100 rooms personally checked - not at all judging by the filthy room I stayed.
Parking you have to pay for, this is NOT advertised when you book.
The Spanish night shift clerk, Manuel - who, himself joked -wasn't from Barcelona, was the one and only highlight of my stay.
Five stars for night staff, zero for the filthy property and unadvertised charge on parking, two stars overall.

The check in was smooth and easy. Room was clean and tidy. Even tho the hotel does need work on the inside. The rooms do need painting and freshening up you pay for what you get. We had a good night sleep. You don’t hear motorway noise we slept with windows open as it was a hot night. Will recommend and stay again

The hotel is in a very good location. The check in was easy. The hotel does need updating our room was very basic and the wall paper was coming off. The bathroom sink was cracked and the floor was coming away from the wall but The room was clean. Room smelt fresh. Snacks and drinks are available. Also no sockets near the bed to charge phone

The room was tired & in much need of renovation. In the bathroom the lapped up coving was coming away in several places, and the toilet & wash hand basin had limescale build up on them.
The room however was clean & tidy.
