George Hotel Huntingdon by Greene King Inns

Property a historic one, so inside and out reflects this...needs some tlc and a bit of thought for less able like grab rails in the bathroom. Our room was clean and quiet, a fan had been put in and duvets removed because it was so hot, very thoughtful. Staff were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. We would stay there again.

Unfortunately, the hotel is well past its prime and needs a complete refurb. Shame, as it's a nice building and conveniently located in the town centre. Staff are excellent, though, and the food is OK.

As soon as we walked in the front door wanted to leave,there was scaffolding all up the stairs and when we got to our room it was unreal the floor was not safe for older people it was like it had a hill in the middle. They shouldnt be letting rooms at the prices they are asking when in the middle of a major refurbishment and the breakfast wasnt worth the £12.50 they charged could av got better just up the road at weatherspoons for half the price.i would recommend steering clear till all the works have been done .

I really enjoyed my stay at the George. In historic listed buildings there are always maintenance works to be done and I was impressed how well the refurbishment works, currently being carried out, were being undertaken with consideration and minimal impact on guests. But then on the other hand you can stay somewhere with character. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful which made my stay really memorable and enjoyable. My room was good and comfortable with very comfortable bed and good bathroom. The food was excellent both evening meal and the breakfast. I would definitely book to stay at the George again when next in the Huntingdon area. Many thanks again to the staff for their kindness and interesting conversations.

Been here multiple times. Very friendly, good price. The room meets all our needs and the bed a amazingly comfortable.

Nice pleasant stay. Friendly staff and good parking facilities. Nice and central for looking around the town.

I wouldn’t even put illegal migrants in here , paint falling off windows carpets look dirty , MOULD on the bathroom ceiling , no food available , not even the breakfast that’s supposed to be included , if it wasn’t the fact that we prepaid id have walked out and found a better hotel , avoid if you can

Rooms could do with a bit of a facelift, but clean and comfortable. Great location in town centre. Used this as a base for trip to Huntingdon Racecourse, only a 10 minute drive away.

Clean & comfortable place to stay albeit the facilities are dated but I’d happily stay again. Sunday menu was very nice as was the breakfast

Busy street, felt unsafe on the high street in the evening.

The bathroom was dirty and the mattress needed replacing. The whole place was very tired.

Very outdated needs a lick of paint. Have to phone the night porter to get in after 11:30. And wait fot 10 minutes.

Useful having a car park next to hotel, free for guests. Good roast in the evening. Staff were very welcoming at reception. Sadly, they had a problem with the heating while we there. A heater had already been placed in our room and situation explained to us. But the bathroom was too chilly for a shower....brrrrrr. it was a nice place for a one night stay, close to high street shops, but quiet at night, so we slept well.

Valu for money . Well situated in the centre of the town.

Not sure the lastime the hotel met with a lick of paint but it was along time ago, toilet doors upstairs where filththy not been cleaned in a long time whole hotel could do with a complete refurb

I love the George in Huntingdon and have visited many times over the years and including for RAF Reunions. This time I was moving home to Scotland and stayed for a couple of nights. All staff welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Cannot praise high enough. Thank you.
