Holiday Inn Express CAMBRIDGE-DUXFORD M11, JCT.10 by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The staff at this hotel were exceptional. After 4 days in the UK, I can honestly say that they were the mostly friendly people I've met over here. The room was spotless and much nicer than I expected. The area is beautiful and the hotel is perfectly located to go visit areas like Cambridge or the Imperial War Museum. If I come back soon, I will absolutely be staying here again.

The service was excellent, staff were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of parking, rooms very clean as expected. We would definitely use this hotel if we come up to the area again.

The fact is I didn't actually get to the hotel. Because of a change of plan I tried to cancel the booking through expedia ( small e intended ) as soon as I knew of the change and tried ( Wednesday night ) through the customer service desk to cancel - they suggested they try to change the date of arrival with the hotel, to which I agreed. I failed to receive an answer the following day so I tried again the following night but failed again. I phoned the hotel on Friday in the day but made no headway - I was left hanging on the phone for reception to answer but they did not; I gave up. I have cancellation insurance and now require a refund.

Well, the room was pleasant and comfortable, lovely view of the train station which was very exciting for the children but maybe not so much if you were trying to sleep. It didn't bother us as we were exhausted. The staff were lovely but somewhat confusing. We spoke to one at the front desk who said 'ring your food order down and you can pay when you collect'. Then when we rang down they said you have to come down and pay for it so they wouldn't take the order over the phone. Then when I went down and ordered they said they could bring it to our room, so I went back up and waited... only to receive a call to come down and collect it! The food was surprisingly good though, so I suggest just sitting in the food bit and waiting instead of trying to get room service!

The room is relatively small but clean, and the location is very convenient—right next to the train station. Parking spaces are limited. The buffet breakfast doesn’t offer a wide variety, but it's sufficient to fill you up, with juice and coffee included, which is a nice touch. The croissants were delicious! However, the restaurant's cleanliness could be improved a bit. The staff on our first night were very friendly and welcoming. BTW, the sofa bed is horrible, can't sleep well as it feels almost broken....

Just next to train station, very convenient

Good hotel. Right by railway station - so easy to get to Cambridge and London. Great base for a bit of local sightseeing. Great free breakfast and decent meal options on an evening. Lovely staff. Clean. Parking extra - but the really good accommodation rate more than offset that for us.

Our stay at this hotel was great the staff were friendly and approachable. I room was clean i suffer with my back and found the bed a little uncomfortable and they could do with king size beds. Plenty of hit water and a fab shower. The breakfast was good and good quality. The hotel was situated right next to a train station which was fab for getting into Cambridge our room looked onto the trainline but it didnt bother us or wake us up it was so quiet.

Wasnt aware the hotel was next to a railway line and unfortunately our room was adjacent to the line and platforms so alot of noise

Good stay pull out beds could have been doing with a better mattress but everything else was amazing especially breakfast

The shower seal around door in room was dirty and mould engrained. The ceiling had the beginnings of mould in bathroom. Room it self was ok. The tv remote was sticky and in need of new batteries. I would stay again as a stopover but silicone sealant in shower in need of replacement and shower door seals. Mould yik!

Nice hotel with comfy beds and a lovely bathroom/shower. Very clean. Rooms however quite stuffy and with the window open it's very noisy as by the road. Breakfast could do with some proper eggs.

Excellent from check in, (bit shocked at car parking cost.). Room, was clean (dusty on head board) sofa bed mattress very thin, son didn't sleep to well both nights, shower head.wouldnt sit straight but lovely shower. Room either cold or to hot, very chilli by window. Food was nice on the first night, 2nd night the curry was not so good, very small portions, rice very bland. Breakfast was fantastic, such a good selection.All staff were excellent, very attentive. We will definitely be back. Upstairs room so we can see the trains.

The hotel and the room was very clean. Beds in rooms were only doubles so if you used to bigger make sure you book a room with king size beds. Well equipped rooms.

Overnight stay on Christmas Day. Very pleased with rooms although my wife and I would prefer a king size bed. Decent breakfast for the price. Coped well with my sister's need for gluten free.Staff friendly and helpful.

This place was very quite with quite a few eating options around. Our favorite part was how friendly the front desk and bartender were! The hotel design was beautiful and there were a lot of spaces to unwind in the lobby
