The location was absolutely brilliant as it's so central although be aware that this is a lively pub so if you want a quiet stay it's maybe not for you. I went with a friend and we loved every minute, so much so that we're going to make it a yearly visit. Our rooms were clean with very comfortable beds, the staff are, without exception, super friendly, as is the Manager. We can definitely recommend the breakfast as it's wonderful!

Had a great stay here after a last minute decision to stop over in Glastonbury. The family room was perfect for my husband, myself and our 5 year old with a very large space and comfy beds in a well decorated and clean room. It also had a fan which was appreciated on a hot day. The staff were really friendly and made a big fuss of our boy. We had dinner in the pub and the children’s meal included ice cream in the price which made him very happy! Steak and ale pie, gammon and kids sausage and chips were all bang on. The location is perfect for exploring the shops, abbey, Tor and Chalice Well. Also managed to park in the pub car park at the back which has limited spaces, but saves a lot when you can avoid the prices of public parking. We’ll 100% stay here again on our annual pilgrimage to Glasto!

Disappointed to be told on arrival that there's no breakfast due to staff sickness. Also confusion due to two separate invoices from Hotel.com. Great location on the main street and great to be able to park for free. If the pub car park is full of recommend St John's car park, much cheaper than the abbey cat park opposite. Family room was spacious and pleasant. The room is above the bar so the music noise was noticeable but the manager kindly turned it down when asked. If it was a busy night I think the pub noise might be an issue.

Lovely team (Lauren was especially helpful on the phone when booking), warm welcome on arrival & super room with an amazing view of the Abbey & Tor. Very comfy bed & good bathroom facilities. The location is very central which is a great plus but this does inevitably mean a bit of traffic noise but we still slept well. Would definitely stay again.

The location is ideal. The night we stayed there, there was live singing just below the room. We actually loved listening to it from our room. It’s a very charming location with everything you need.

Had a lovely stay at the market house in Glastonbury, right in the centre opposite the Abbey. Staff in the pub were lovely as were the landlord and the landlady we met just as we were about to leave. The breakfast was really nice, we didn't book it with our room (will next time) but decided to go there anyway and enjoyed. Highly recommended for comfort, staff and position.

Decent budget rooms in a good location with parking behind and a public carpark opposite. The room lacked a hairdryer and towel rails. The exterior door keys we were given did not work which almost resulted in us being locked out overnight despite returning to the pub before 11pm. Luckily after being flipped the bird by the bar staff initially through the window as we frantically tried to get their attention to our plight they did come over to open the exterior door to let us in.

The room was good. Check in was fine but staff were so very busy, it was a bit rushed. However staff were very pleasant even though under a lot of pressure . We ate in the bar (not a restaurant). My partner had gammon which was fine but my fish and chip meal was not very good. Overall just taking the room into account it was good value for money. The bar food was a disappointment.

The staff were friendly and the location was good. Our room was small and not very well furnished with a very small bathroom. We felt it was very expensive for the quality of accommodation provided.

Enormous room, view over town. Bathroom a bit small and dated, would've liked a bathtub ideally, however, I understand that there are difficulties with such things in old buildings. Chris was very welcoming. The restaurant food was amazing! Thoroughly recommend. Will definitely stay again.
