Room was nice and clean and bed comfortable. Handle on the shower door broken! Now the breakfast....I suggest anyone considering it go elsewhere. Avocado on toast was supposed to come with poacheded eggs, Did query with the staff member on duty, was told it didn't come with eggs, but then came with the two missing paoched eggs and an apology stating it did in fact come with eggs aftrrall, but this was only after the toast and avocado which they were supposed to accompany, had already been consumed! Full English was really greasy, barely warm, eggs appeared to have be deep fried, bizarre!! Needless to say, discarded that oddity! Bit of a Fawlty Towers experience on the whole!

Staff very helpful and polite room was very comfortable and clean fire place in our room was huge i will be back winter time around Christmas would be very cozy as we visited in July with temperatures in the 30s but our room was quite 😎 cool

Lovely Village location, and quaint accommodation. I stayed in one of the rooms round the corner from the pub. It was a ground floor room with large bathroom. Things to note: No contact details in the room for reception / pub staff (same thing) No Wi-Fi details - had to go to pub and wait until the barman was free to ask. Only just enough toilet roll for one night for one person (not going to the pub to ask out loud) No plugs near the kettle so had to plug it in on the floor by the door. Food in the pub ok. There was limited availability for my dates in the village but I have stayed in better near by for less.

A charming room in a traditional pub. The staff were excellent and the food was good. I only stayed for one night whilst travelling for work, but will certainly return when I am in the area next.

No WiFi, shower unusable, 1 cup, no spoon, had to put kettle on the floor to reach the plug.

Upset tummy and Toilet which was broken (would not flush) ended up in terrible night sleep!!

The room was generally clean, they didn’t appear to have sufficient beer when people were asking for it and we heard a couple complaining about their meal.

The staff were very friendly on arrival however there were some miscommunication and we were left for half an hour waiting to be checked in whilst we were missing the wedding which we questioned, the room was okay, quite small and basic but no issues, unfortunately there were skid marks in the toilet from someone else which then made us question the cleanliness, the light had a sensor in the bathroom and it kept going on and off during the night making a clicking noise which was quite annoying.

Everything was clean. Lovely inglenook fireplace in the bar. Had a good meal. Very welcoming and helpful.

Over all the hotel is good, it is in a great location and the staff were very friendly and professional. The room was good for an overnight stay and the food was good, with good portions. The downsides: toilet didn't work properly (reported) and the shower is on the small side; also there are no hooks or rails to hang coats / clothes from! The other downside particularly on the Friday night we stayed is that the bar was open to 1am and there was a live DJ; it was loud & interupted our sleep, & although it finished at midnight, people leaving were quite loud up to 1am. Overall OK but avoid the live music nights!

Lovely, clean if small room, made a great base for our 3 day visit. The staff were all extremely friendly. The bar and food were great. Thanks for a lovely stay

No Breakfast offered No bar Doing renovations My wife and I stayed one night at the Red Lion - Mon 13OCT25 and paid $201.78 by Visa The positives are that the sheets and towels were clean but other than that we had a dreadful experience The room was tiny with not enough room to stand upright around the double bed. It was up two very steep flights of narrow stairs - we carried our own suitcases. There was no plug for the vanity basin and no soap in the dispenser. My wife and I like a cool room to sleep in but the radiator was full on and when I tried to turn it down the thermostat dial fell off. So we had to sleep with no duvet or covers The room was vastly overpriced in the first place and we had a very uncomfortable night.. A horrible experience and very far from what we expected.

We only stayed for one night to visit relations very nearby. The guy who checked us in was lovely. We didn't use the pub or restaurant so couldn't comment on them. Our room, bed and bathroom were very big and comfortable on the ground floor with our own entrance from the street. There was no space in the hotel car park as it is very small with only about 4 spaces. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely pub and room was fine clean and spacious bed was comfortable.

The light and shaver socket above the sink didn’t work, the extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work, there was no plug for the sink, the room wasn’t serviced (so no clean cups/bed not remade/ We were disappointed because the bathroom electrical faults were not new and all of these issues outlined were easy to have avoided.

Room was too small & breakfast started to late. 9am is way to late when you have to be at a meeting by 9am

A pleasant overnight stay, basic accommodation, friendly staff, good breakfast,private function spoilt the stay,music too loud into early hours,Manager Kia was very enthusiastic.
