Lovely place overall and very clean. Unbelievably stuffy though, I turned anything off letting out heat and the radiator wasn't on in the room, opening small window helped a little, but I had to go outside for a bit. Wasn't so much the heat just stuffy. I didn't feel super welcome by main people running it, however younger staff were very friendly, as were the housekeeping staff. Would have been nice if pullman was used for dining for guests staying especially out of season at breakfast. Partly why I booked when I saw it. Was told set up for event but didn't see anyone and was told that they stopped using it for guest breakfast because people tripped over dog leads etc and moaned, they looked bit put out I asked Breakfast was very nice. Overall it was a nice enough place and I didn't pay a huge amount for the stay. Dog friendly though and appeared to be very popular on that basis. Would recommend if you are taking a pet, nice touch really. Alas I don't have a dog at present.

Lovely place, friendly staff and a nice clean room with a good shower. Bed was comfy too. The pub restaurant had a fairly limited menu but my evening meal was fine, again with very good service. Only downside was a little noise from the nearby busy road. Breakfast was very good and they took my order the evening before so I could get an early start, it was a little touch but very much appreciated. Would recommend and will return if I need to stay in the area.

/the room was very clean. Finished off with a jar of nice chocolate chip cookies and a bottle of fresh water in an old fashioned steralised UHT bottle. Bed was extremely comfy and a nice size Tv placed just right to watch from the bed. Plenty of storage both for hanging and folded items along with any nick naks. The breakfast was cooked to perfection 1 egg 2 streaky rashers of quality bacon, 1 thick sausage, half a tomatoes and half a mushroom (the half a tomatoe and mushroom was a bit stingy). A glass of fruit juice was also part of the deal. It appeared unlimited coffee was also ok. One nicety was a welcome placemat saying welcome and whatever room you were in. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The location was near a busy road but this did not disturb us at all or keep us awake. We had room 8 The shower temperature and power was great Negatives. The bottle of milk supplied was far too small for more than a cup of tea and a coffee twice. We could have gone down and got more but after a long day we couldn’t be bothered. The bedroom door didn’t open fully, this was just an inconvenience going in and out arms laden with belongings. The loo was so close to the basin I could have washed my hair or cleaned my teeth whilst sitting on the loo. The shower door didn’t fully close, not an issue for the wife but being larger it made the cubicle smaller. ……… Would we stay again: Most definitely.. The Pullman train venue next to the pub was brilliant.
