We had a lovely stay at the chequers over Easter. Room was lovely - bed super comfy. Nice touches of decent shampoo/ shower gel etc. And I don't think I saw on the listing, but a TV with access to Netflix etc. Good location for going to walks / biking. There's a public footpath right next to the pub and a few biking options a short drive away. Breakfast was delicious. We ate in the pub both nights, food was lovely and service was great. And on the Saturday night was treated to a brilliant local jazz band. All round great, friendly service from the team. Would definitely recommend.

This accommodation changed management and only does phone reservations. It is unable to access and honour previous bookings from this site. So when booking on this site you won’t be booking a place to stay. Luckily they had one room left for us. But there are little other accommodation options in the area, so be careful.

Staff were pleasant, the Pub was a bit run down but comfy, but the most annoying thing was they removed half the menu at a moments notice, just as we sat down to order, this resulted in us walking half a mile away and having a meal at another pub spending in excess of a £150.00. sorry would not recommend, shame .
