Such well maintained Inn. Glad I booked here and would happily rebook next time I come to this location for work. Despite having a pub downstairs it was very quite and the rooms were well maintained. Only downside was the kitchen has now permanently closed. Which is a shame but we understand the owner's reasons and the local area has other food options you can use.

The room was pleasant enough and fine for the money. The downside was not having food available at the inn. It would have made it an excellent choice if pub food was an option and it is actually quite inconvenient to not get a breakfast.

Disappointed not to be able to have breakfast, but given the use of space in the fridge & warned so was able to take cereal, fruit yoghurt etc.

Very friendly staff who made us most welcome. The meals were excellent. particularly breakfast. The bar was kept open, at our request, on Sunday evening so we could meet the family of the deceased before the funeral. A very important and emotional gathering of old friends.

We booked very last minute, due to an unforeseen problem with our holiday cottage. When we arrived it was literally 5 mis before they stopped serving food BUT the chap said I'll go and ask the chef .,. He did and we enjoyed a very hearty excellent steak and ale pie each. Absolutely delicious, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast cooked to order and v attentive staff throughout.
