Wonderful stay, staff couldn’t do enough for us. Food great!

I had an excellent stay at the hotel - the complimentary upgrade was very much appreciated. I would like to highlight the helpfulness and politeness of the staff and the excellent facilities (the garden and the spa being my favourite). I would definitely return :)

Absolutely amazing stay! This hotel was fabulous and I don’t have a single thing to critique. The staff was overly pleasant, the room was sensational, and the service was exceptional. We felt like royalty!

It was an incredible experience. The staff is especially friendly and accomodating.

There was no elevator and two flights of stairs to our room. This was disappointing as we are seniors. The staff were all lovely and the grounds were beautiful.

The positives: beautifully appointed hotel, lovely pool, comfy rooms, great concierge staff and valet service (chargeable as you’d expect but helpful) & they were very welcoming with us travelling with a young baby. Negatives: 1. We wanted lunch in the hotel but despite requesting a menu twice & hanging around 30 mins nothing materialised, so we left for elsewhere 2. I had an unfortunate episode of food poisoning (not caused by hotel food), but after being up all night extremely unwell & trying to breastfeed a baby, didn’t feel well enough for my spa appointment the next morning. Understandably, they have a 24 hour cancellation policy. I’d hoped given we’d already spent a hefty sum on room, parking & given the circumstances they might relax this a little. Sadly not - I was told use it or lose it & felt almost bullied into taking the treatment I really didn’t feel well for. Hardly relaxing. 3. Penalised if you don’t book direct - we asked for an hour extension to check out. Given the room was unoccupied after us we were surprised to be charged £30 per hour. We were told this was because we’d booked via hotels.com. Sadly management seem to have missed the point here - rather than enticing us to book direct next time it just left us feeling ripped off They eventually refunded late check out, but sadly we never got any further follow up despite them suggesting they would. Perhaps the above is “1st world problems” but for us it marred a real treat for us. A pity.

As always a perfect couple of days in one of the worlds most beautiful locations, The Royal Crescent ... The Hotel is just perfect, location, staff, amenities, spa are all just great ....

We have just come home from a lovely 2 night stay at the Royal Crescent hotel for our baby moon. The staff were so kind and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us and the breakfast was amazing!! One of the best iv ever had. The hotel location is great and our room was lovely with a comfortable big bed which we were kindly upgraded to. The spa was nice but small and a bit dated. Being 7 months pregnant i decided to have some treatments including a mum to be massage and facial which were lovely although I did feel these were a bit over priced and the room had a really strange smell like gone off food I wasn’t sure if it was coming through the heating or if something had been left in a bin. This was abit off putting when having my treatments but over all a lovely stay and I would recommend.

Just incredible from start to finish. We arrived, stressed, emotional, tired and hungry. The delightful Remy on the front desk greeted us and took care of us in a way that I am not sure I have ever experienced at a hotel before. I have stayed here a few times over the years and it never disappoints but this was just an exceptional stay. I couldn’t be any more grateful.

Hotel is lovely… but it lacked some of the 5 star touches we had in previous visits. Disappointed that the spa delayed its opening times without informing guesting which resulted in is having to cut our visit short

It is one of the best decorated hotels I have been staying and there are a lot of amenities that are convenient for use. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Superb special occasion treat. Fabulous building. Great location. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Food was totally amazing. (We had the taster menu). Would love to return one day!!! Highly recommended

Lovely hotel in the best area of bath. Staff were friendly rooms and spa very clean. Limited parking for anyone driving to hotel but valet person was very helpful and accommodating. If we return to bath we would not hesitate to book again

Classy stay in Bath

Beautiful grounds and hotel is elegant and serene. A little oasis.

Beautiful setting, lovely service, great food, overall it was a great experience. The only thing is that they could do with a better organisation for the breakfast: the wait is too long (45 minutes to get our food, lots of time waiting on line to be seated) and the buffet is way too small for the number of guests (it would continuously run out of food). That’s only remark of an otherwise fantastic experience!
