Enjoyed our stay. Would be nice to park near to the pub, car park is in another field which is a short walk away it seemed safe enough though. Evening meal and breakfast both excellent, staff were very friendly and room was clean. Garden room has a bath only and as it’s in the eves, you can only crouch to have a shower, don’t stand up quick and hit your head like I did! The bed is also tucked under the eves on one side so again be aware when getting up in the night as it is very close to your head. All part of the quirkiness of the room as it is an old pub.

Last weekend we stayed at the Wiveton Bell for two nights. I have to report that the pub has changed hands since we were last there. The room we had was well appointed; a small snug with two easy chairs, coffee table and sideboard ......kettle, coffee machine, magazines etc.... and a separate roomy bedroom with a TV and plenty of wardrobe/cupboard space plus a modern ensuite.  We had several issues regarding the room. When we arrived at 4pm we had to wait for it to be serviced.  It was apparent that the previous occupants had been dog owners. The shower had been used to wash their dog as there were sandy paw marks on the shower tray and hair and sand in the drain. There were also dirty paw prints on the inside the front door where it had jumped up to be let out. There was a dog bed in the wardrobe which, on removal to allow us to hang our clothes, revealed a quantity of sand and dirt where it had been.  There was a significant problem with the shower. The temperature control did not work. Whatever the setting, the shower was scalding hot. Fortunately, Sue tested the temperature before standing in the shower otherwise should would have been badly scalded. We reported the problem to a staff member when we went for dinner. She was aware that there was an issue and kindly went to fix it for us. Somehow she adjusted the setting to a sensible temperature for us to use with instructions not to touch it.  Worse stiil, the underfloor heating was totally out of control. When we arrived

A beautiful inn! Although the Library room was smaller than expected, it was incredibly cosy and we enjoyed the stay. The restaurant staff are delightful - so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We had dinner one of the nights we stayed and it was lovely (as were the free breakfasts). Great location - so close to the coast and perfect for a mini getaway. Would definitely recommend!

Staff were superb and food was as excellent as always. Bar furniture looks a little dated and could use a deep clean in places, but very comfortable. Bed was superb and the room excellent. The underfloor heating takes ages to warm the room and as it was very cold, it would have been nicer if it had been turned up a while before arrival. Minor points though. Overall extremely good and we will certainly be back.

The "Full Norfolk " breakfast was more like a half Nelson. A delivery had not been received so the breakfast had no tomatoes or mushrooms . My breakfast ame with 2 poached eggs but my wife had just 1 fried egg. Also although the bedroom was reasonable we disliked having saloon style swing doors into the bathroom.

Library room: The room said it had A/C, which consisted of a couple of noisey fans. The bathroom room has a nice spacious shower, but is a wet room with no floor sqeuigie so had to dry my feet after entering each time. Coffee machine was good and barman was happy to supply more sachets. Food is pricey but worth it, great desserts! Had to return a pint of ale as tasted off, but the wine list made up for it. I'd stay there again but not at £192 for 1 night.

Friendly staff and excellent menu. Menu was a bit limited but all good quality.Barbecue was very good but very expensive. Only big disappointment was that a cooked breakfast was not available, so we had to drive to Holt for breakfast at the sister pub; The Feathers.
