Staff superb. All of them. Close to Bole. However, food was terrible. My third time to stay there, though.

Simple but clean property with nice staff and a good restaurant. I will be staying here frequently.

The pictures make it look like a nicer hotel than it is. Very basic. But service was good. Decent breakfast buffet, although I would like more fruit choices as can be found in this great country.

I would like to thank especially one of the GMs who went extra steps to accommodate me during this inconvenient/ delayed travel to Addis. Much appreciated!

It’s simply criminal this place has 8,5 Hotels.com review rating. Total ignorance: two days been trying to contact regarding airport transfer without any success, our “deluxe” room was not ready at 9:30 PM, had to wait another half an hour for it and still had to call reception and ask to finish extra bed, apparently maid forgot to put on duvet! The dust and dirt everywhere. Loudspeakers in café attached to hotels was booming until midnight and again from 7:00 AM in the morning. Evil!

The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It is a great base for exploring Addis and there are lots of restaurants nearby . It is not suoer fancy but very clean and comfortable, and good value. The breakfast is ok. I would stay again.

My stay was generally okay, but I had a terrible first night. First, I was not able to reach out to the hotel before my arrival because the phone number in the website was not working. As a result, I wasn’t picked up from the airport. Second, when I arrive I was told that they run out of rooms (I booked more than a week earlier) and they moved me to a different and low quality hotel where I had a terrible and sleepless night because of the hot room temperature (no AC) and buzzing sound of mosquitoes. I would not have stayed in this hotel even for half a price that I paid. I was moved back to Venetian the next day, where the rest of my stay was good. Nevertheless, I was disappointed that I was charged the same amount for the first night and the hotel manager did not even bother to talk to me despite my complaint to the reception.

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at the Venetian. We were supposed to stay with friends but they were out of the country and we decided on The Venetian kind of on a whim. It's in a pretty decent part of town, there's a lot of construction around it but there was never any major noise. The area is a bit dark at night but not creepy to walk back from areas near by. It's also within walking distance of some good restaurants, cafes and the Medhane-Alem Cathedral. We're filmmakers and although our safe was broken, we felt confident leaving our gear in the room. The free breakfast is small, but sufficient, and if you're needing to pass some time, the patio is relaxing to sit out on and have an ambo or a macchiato. Also, all the rooms have balconies which is really nice. The staff was fantastic, and super accommodating. It wouldn't hurt to have an additional trashcan in the bedroom. All in all, I really liked staying here and would recommend it to anyone who needs a good home base for staying in Addis.

This is a relatively new and clean hotel a very reasonable price. The staff is very friendly. It is off the main road, and hence less noisy, but restaurants, malls and movie theater are within few minutes walk. There are also some issues that that hotel management may need to pay attention to. The first one is breakfast. There are no good choices; they served the same papaya and water melon juice every single day(I stayed for 14 days). I think they should have an option without breakfast so that customers can get breakfast elsewhere. The second is that while there is hot water for the shower, the bathroom faucet did not have hot water. This seems to be some mechanical problem. The hotel could also be noisy until 11AM because of bars outside and at the top floor. They have a nice outdoor area, but it is all smoking area. But it is still good value for money.

Hotel is basic but clean and comfortable and the wifi worked well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our flight was 2 hours late, but the shuttle driver was still there to get us from the airport, and check in (which was at 1am) was easy and efficient with a very kind receptionist. The hotel is close to the airport, making it convenient for late night airport arrivals. The day time receptionist also helpfully called us a taxi to take us to our next destination to following morning. I would stay here again!

The staff were incredibly rude. They didn't give us the room we paid for. They even told us to come back the next day to get our money back because they ran out of rooms! It didn't occur to them that we got no place to stay at. We held our ground firm and finally they sent us to a cheaper hotel somewhere else. We didn't even bother to ask for a refund of the price difference to avoid dealing with them. Very bad experience!

This hotel was amazing the staff was even better. Highly recommended. I especially enjoyed the lounge at the rooftop
