Excited by the online info, so booked it. Turned on the sink and rusty water came out. It took minutes to clear. Walls and floor in loo room needed better cleaning. Went to breakfast at 9 and there was a bare spoonful of eggs, which my husband and I split. No salt and pepper on tables, No pepper when asked. Used google Translate to talk to concierge.

I had filtered the options so that I could guarantee parking, as I was travelling to southern italy and had valuable stuff in the car. The hotel claimed that they had no parking available and I had to go and park in an underground car park. The exit was in another part of the town and the hotel could not guide me back whilst carrying my bags. It took me 45 minutes to eventually find my own way back. Not recommended!

Staff were very lovely and helpful. As a solo traveler I wasn’t comfortable in the area, also not very central to sightsee in Lyon. The hotel is very old with no elevator. Simple 2 star hotel, does the job if you just need somewhere to sleep.

The bed was good although not much space around it. Toilet and shower spaces are too small, the sink is too big and blocks 60% of the entrance to the shower so you have to walk sideway to get in and out of the shower. And the shower is about a foot higher than the floor so it's more like sideway jump than walk.

The hotel was adequate. I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money, so the hotel was well priced. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room did NOT have a safe. Cleanliness of the room was mediocre, but acceptable. There was a used cup of water sitting out when I arrived in the room. The bed was not made by the cleaning staff in between my two nights there. It rained heavily while I was in Lyon, and the hotel lobby either had serious leaks from that or perhaps a plumbing issue, as the lobby was a marsh of squishy carpet and 0.5-1.0 cm of water on the tile floor. My shoes were ruined after walking through the lobby once. That being said, the staff was clearly working hard on the water issue.

2 beds stuck together isnt a big bed, its 2 beds, you feel when they end. was comfortable enough. if in a hurry for the toilet, the bathroom door is really in the way. sad that there is no lift, but its nice enough. staff were amazing. for some reason the chain broke before i entered the room but did not mention it because it was not a problem, a few hours in, a light went dead but was not bothering me, there was enough light. room was big. desk was big enough. the parking is 15 a night but would have been nice of hotels.com to let us know to actually call the hotel to confirm a spot. the last day i had my no entry sign on the door. like last 2 days but cleaners came in anyway, pissed me right off.i wouldnt have left the room the way it was if i wanted it to be cleaned. very interesting and mixte neighbourhood, easy access to transport. nice location. not really sound proof...

Stayed at various 3 star hotels all throughout France and this hotel was the lowest quality. Receptionist during the day was great, pleasant and friendly she allowed me to check in about 1/2 hour early. Receptionist at desk in evening unable to provide a few extra instant coffe packets for room kettle. Water in shower was only luke warm, never had hot water. Pillows are lumpy. No extra blankets or pillows in room. Need to be buzzed in/out of hotel, not the best location in Lyon.
