A beautiful hotel with so much history. The rooms are renovated but still have so much of the original feel. Shower is great. The owner is so lovely and took the time to be so welcoming and help us figure out the city. The outdoor door is the only challenge. We should have asked for two keys.

This hotel was small, friendly and spotlessly clean. Very well located for the Old Town, the river banks, restaurants, Perrache station and Ampere Metro. It was ideally located for exploring Lyon, a beautiful, underrated city, in my view. Beautiful, fresh french bread, cheese, jams etc for breakfast+ delicious croissants. Perfect for a weekend of exploring and chilling out. Very happy with a reasonably priced hotel that had all the basics covered. Recommend! Plus Abel Comptoir restaurant =next door. Booking required. Well worth it.

Amazing location, friendly service. Room was small but tidy and good enough for me. You get a fob to come in and out the time you want but the check in was confusing to me, I was expecting a reception but there was only a door and a intercom, and then another door, you have to call twice so they can let you in. The hotel is on the 2nd floor, so it’s confusing if you don’t know that. If they sent check-in instructions by email prior, I’ve never received it.

The hotel is the second floor in a traditional apartment building. The building is lovely and the rooms have been sympathetically set up with modern bathrooms introduced. The hotel is exceptionally clean. Owners/staff were very friendly and helpful, giving us a map and indicating the various areas to visit. There are also lots of guide books in Reception to borrow/look at. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as preferred to go out to local cafes/boulangeries. We stayed in Room 9 which is a double room overlooking Rue Vaubecour. We did not really hear any noise from outside through the secondary glazing. There was a little noise from the apartment above but nothing too intrusive - maybe just a chair moving on the floor. The location is excellent and we had good weather so walked to all the sights, but there are Metro stations very close by.. We would definitely stay again - thank you!

Quaint and very old fashioned this property is good form having that old France experience. However I would not recommend it long term. It was like staying in an apartment with EXTREMELY loud and annoying neighbors. My entire 24 hours there I kept wondering, ‘okay now what is that??? Are they cutting down trees or just moving all of their furniture?’ Plus if you are handicapped at all this is not the hotel for you. I picked it because it said elevator and I have a bum knee- elevator was tiny and also non operational so up two flights of stairs I lugged my luggage to get to the lobby.
