Lovely small hotel with each room uniquely designed in a retro style. It was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet in a major city. The room was typically small as in many Paris hotels but all the amenities we needed had been cleverly incorporated. The area around the hotel was like a small town with its own community and there were plenty very good restaurants and bars around. The metro station close by was ideal to get us into the city centre.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel de l'Esperance! Our room was nice and clean and a good size for my two friends and I. The neighborhood was very nice. Lots of restaurants around and it was close to a metro stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

I loved the decor (retro) and the comfort of our room. The front desk staff at check in and upon departure were incredibly kind and spoke such good English, which was so helpful. The hotel is located in a great area and we wish we had booked it for more than one night. The bed was very comfortable and all the appointments in the bathroom and the room were classy. I absolutely loved opening my window to the street while I had my coffee (nespresso provided)

A great hotel hidden away in the Latin quarter near great restaurants and central Mouffetard. Room was small but comfortable and accommodated two of us and a baby in the cot. Room was spotlessly clean and all modern fixings! Would be staying again!

This is a great hotel, but our room had noticeably less space than past Paris boutique hotel rooms that we have booked. I think having a closet to put our bags in would have made a big difference. There was no floor area big enough to open a roller suitcase (carry-on or checked bag) flat (except on the bed). We could store a carry-on bag on a shelf above the hanging rod, but there was no good spot to store our one checked suitcase out of the way, which was inconvenient. That said, hotel staff was friendly and the location was convenient to get around. If I booked here again, I’d spend extra to upgrade to a larger room.

The area the property is situated is wonderful. The hotel is clean and the staff are welcoming. Rooms are on the small side. Breakfast is basic and no bar on site.

Make it more dramatic : have stayed few times in this hotel. In my last stay upon checking in the receptionist gave me an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude. The keys to my room were not working I explained that I had traveled over 12 hours and I need rest but he insisted that there was nothing with the key and only after an hour he decided to try himself and indeed the keys were not working. I asked for another room he said it’s not possible proposing that he would lock and open the room for me everytime but I can’t be late after 12 because he won’t be here to open I said what sort of service is this and either I have my own key or I’ll find another hotel …then he gave me another room which wasn’t the same category saying “ you’re only here for one night so why the fuss?” Never again !

Great property, extremely clean and with easy access to metro and bus. As a bonus on location, you’ll be less than two blocks from Rue Mouffetard, which is busting with restaurants, patisseries and small local stores.

Highly recommend this hotel. Bus stop is just a minute away. Great neighborhood with many restaurants and local stores. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only cons would be thin walls. You can hear people on the hallway if they are loud. Overall, great hotel.
