Hôtel Mercure Président Biarritz Plage

Hotel was super convenient. Room was amazing with huge windows and view of lighthouse. Something to note, there is a window in bathroom open to the main room so not ideal for groups or friends.

Great room with fantastic views from the 9th floor.

Lovely hotel and fabulous location! Only a 10 minute walk to the beach, food market, cafes, restaurants & shopping all over. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel and Biarritz! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would stay there again.

Great place to stay!

Good value for money - definitely worth paying a bit extra for the ocean view upper floors. The view of Grand Plage and lighthouse over the rooftops was picture postcard perfect!

Great location

Great location! Clean, tidy, and comfortable room. Very friendly staff.

No air conditioning available and it was quite warm. The only way to get air was to open the windows, which required opening the curtains as well, so at night all the light and noise from the parking lot came into the room. See photos. My room was not serviced, even though Housekeeping came by at 14.10 while I was on the phone and said they would come back in 30 minutes. I spent the entire afternoon and evening out of my room so I wouldn’t get in their way, and was disappointed to find nothing had been done. The key sensor on my door was iffy. When I asked Reception to try a new card to make sure the key itself wasn’t the problem, they implied it was my own fault, that they had just adjusted the doors. Even a passing maintenance man was unable to let me in with his passkey (my key worked eventually). This may be why my room wasn’t serviced, but no one told me. In all I was quite disappointed. This is a wonderful location, but the clientele is not considered.

Lovely staff but a horrifically overpriced breakfast and tired rooms. €40 for a self serve machine coffee & a sachet of bought in museli, for two. Not even a waiter in sight. The room had a great view, but was small and the white pleather touches were very strange and the “comfortable” chair was extremely worn and dirty. The building is pretty drab from the outside.

For the price - extremely subpar!
