Odalys Résidence Les Chalets d'Evian

When we arrived to check in we were rushed. The guy managing the place told us he had left the key to our room in the door. When we made it to our room it looked nothing like the pictures, more like a cheap cabin on a lake. It was also freezing in the room. It was like 30 degrees Fahrenheit and no heat had been turned on. WiFi is also not included. WiFi was listed on my reservation but apparently that just meant it was available for purchase. When we woke the next morning for breakfast (which we knew we would have to pay for) we were told you had to reserve it ahead of time, no breakfast was available. On the day of our departure we had everything packed and ready to go as soon as the office opened. At 7:58 we arrived to check out and the manager was leaving. We told him we needed to check out. He said he was taking his daughter to school and that we would have to return when the office opened. We asked when that was to which he replied 8:00, at this point it was 8:00. We let him know we had already packed our car and we're on our way home and that we would not be waiting because it was 8:00. He told us if we had cash to pay the city tax he would let us go. Luckily we did but not exact and of course he didn't have change. We were just ready to leave at this point. Needless to say we will never stay here again and would never suggest this place to anyone.

FIRST OF ALL THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. RECOMMEND NOT TO GO THERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE CAR.

Hotels is away from city and if you do not have a car practically nothing can be done. Hotel recption does not work from 12-4.30 so you need to reach only in the evening. You are also expected to clean the room and drop liens for cleaning. good view but felt caged as we could not go anywhere.

Leaving the envelops with the explanations on the entrance wall was risky, We had no idea about this possibility and almost missed it (It was very late, the flight was delayed and we were very tired). you should warn your late visitors of this solution in advance so they will have no problem checking in. In general we enjoyed your hotel and will be happy to visit again.

We went for an overnight stay at the Odalys and generally had a very nice stay. The only objection is the price which is too high for one night considering what you get in return; i.e. breakfast and cleaning of dishes are not included and the hotel / apartment is not high standard (but very clean and comfortable). For a short stay, we found this option less attractive, as you need to bring many things if you want to use what is it in the apartment (there are no dish towels, washing liquid etc). That said, the location is great with a fantastic view (if tranquility is what you are aiming for).

Schöne Aussicht und nettes Personal. Das Chalet und die Einrichtung war schon etwas älter. Aber es war sauber und alles vorhanden was nötig ist. Nur in der Küche fehlt ein Backofen. Wir empfehlen auf jeden Fall die Zimmer mit einem Balkon. Geschäfte sind etwas weiter entfernt und wer nach Evian in Zentrum laufen möchte sollte gut zu Fuss sein, weil die Unterkunft schon etwas am Hang liegt.

Freundlich! Unterkunft eher in die Jahre gekommen und marode. Küchengeräte und Ausstattung prima.

Un personnel sympathique !!

Résidence bien situé, sentier du panoramique du Léman juste à côté, funiculaire à 700m , mais ouvert uniquement printemps et l'été. Literie de bonne qualité. Seul point négatif, c'est la rénovation des chalets qui a été fait à l'économie, escalier bruyant et pas du tout de niveau, parquet stratifié bruyant, donc on entend les voisins et c'est sûrement réciproque. Le personnel d'accueil est vraiment top.

Residence paisible, bien située. Logement fonctionnel, avons apprécié piscine et salle de sport. Très agréable

Séjour agréable et reposant mais qui a manqué à mon gout, avec 3 enfants, d'animations : aucune sortie proposée, aucune activité enfants (culturelle, sportive...), aucune soirée/spectacle... voici ce qui manque à cette résidence pour que le séjour soit parfait !

Endroit très joli mais assez éloigné du lac finalement Les appartements auraient besoin d un petit rafraîchissement, et mal insonorisés c est dommage. Piscine trop petite et infestée de fourmis, et horaire de fermeture de 12h a 12h30 pour « désinfection » inappropriée. Au regard du prix pratiqué pour cette location je suis très déçue.

Résidence très bien située. Logement spacieux, belle vue. Seul bémol, les housses de canapé et les protections de lit qui mériteraient d'être plus propres.

Je m’étais trompé dans la date de réservation. Une fois arrivé à l’hôtel et l’erreur constatée, le responsable a tout de suite trouvé une solution pour nous. Très aimable et accueillant. Hôtel sympathique avec une jolie vu et du personnel compétent. Je le recommande!

Nous sommes venus pour la seconde fois à Évian et n'avons pas cherché autre chose. Bon rapport qualité/ prix.
