Residhotel Lyon Part Dieu

I booked this hotel specifically for location, comfort and air conditioning. When I arrived it was warm/hot. When I noticed the air conditioning didn’t work I went to reception I see what I was doing wrong. It turned out that the air conditioning doesn’t work until mid May. I was there the first week in May. The location was great if you are taking the train. The rooms were clean. The amenities such as soap and shampoo were minimal.

Good size studio but no sound proofing around water pipes so can really hear water flowing when other guests using the shower, kitchen or bathroom

Great simple place to stay near the station. Quiet and comfy beds. Breakfast was good too!

The hotel is meant for long term residents. Not for tourists.

La literie est confortable et on voit qu'il y a eu rénovation de la chambre et de la salle de bain. Par contre, la cuisine est désuète avec des accessoires vieillots et/ou carrément inutilisable. La propreté est de base et on tourne les coins ronds. En effet, les bas de murs et coins de planchers sont sales et noircies. Finalement, pour un séjours de moins de 7 jours, AUCUN ménage ne sera fait dans votre chambre.

A Frence business focused average hotel. Check-in didn't speak English, safe didn't work in my room, few amenities and a very non-holiday room. If you know why it's cheap and what you're getting into, it's perfectly comfortable and well situated

My impression on this property is that it appears challenged financially. It appears that it is due for a re-fresh and remodel. I feel that the managers are doing their best.

The hotel is very handy to the rail station and metro. There are a few reasonable restaurants 5 minutes walk away.

I’ve been traveling for 47 years, staying in hotels across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and beyond. I’ve experienced budget stays and five-star resorts. But nothing — absolutely nothing — prepared me for the nightmare that was Residhotel in Lyon, France (booked through Orbitz, which I use frequently). We were traveling through the EU and needed a quick overnight stop in Lyon before heading to Paris. We booked two rooms — one for my wife and me, and one for my daughter and son-in-law traveling with us. This will go down as the single worst place we have ever stayed. Here’s why: 1. Air conditioning didn’t work in either room — in the middle of summer. 2. The property looks and feels like it’s stuck in the early 1990s, without any charm — just pure neglect. 3. The toilet rooms were humid, hot, filthy, and reeked of urine. 4. The entire place smelled faintly of roach spray, as if pests were an ongoing problem. 5. Carpets looked like they were straight out of the late 1980s — stained, worn, and beyond saving. 6. Cigarette burns on the couches. 7. Pieces of the shower fixtures were literally falling off. 8. Electrical panel switches were loose and hanging — a safety hazard. 9. Toilet bowls were permanently yellowed and disgusting. 10. The furniture arrangement made no sense and looked thrown together from a junk shop. 11. Tiny, outdated televisions with no internet connection. 12.
