Hotel doesn’t have AC and the church bells ring every 15 minutes for 5 minutes sometimes longer. Overall okay hotel but tough to sleep with open windows and extremely loud church bells in the early morning hours.

Very conveniently located near the train station. The room has large by European standards. The staff was very attentive. (Able to check me in early with an upgrade, brought me extra pillows). The hotel has a bit of an Ostalgie vibe to it (this is former Karl-Marx-Stadt, after all), which gives it some charm.

Friendly staff. One of the worst fitness facilities I have seen. The church bells next door to the hotel are very loud and wake you up - they need to install triple glazed windows to block it.

I have stayed in this hotel several times. Since the renovation, it is even better and more comfortable than it was. The location is great, next to the train station and in the heart of Chemnitz.

My room was on the 3rd floor which was being renovated, why you would allocate my room right next to the renovation work being done doesn't make sense. The hotel was not fully booked so no explanation for this

This was the second time I stayed here in the past 6 months. In my case, Chemnitz is a hassle-free stop-over to Poland and the hotel is well located in town and has a huge underground car-park, which I need. The only disappointment was that whilst room service was listed as “24 hours” that only came down to delivering drinks because the kitchen stops at 22:00 and I arrived at 22:30. Never mind, the bar in the hotel opposite (Opera Hotel) has a bar menu and is open until 1a.m.!;
