Stayed here for three nights with my wife, one daughter and a grandson - and were not disappointed. By accident and not planned, the location was excellent for us. There is a straight-through S-bahn train from the Airport to very near the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet street and had quite a number of restaurants, particularly Portuguese and Italian, very near it. Part of our purpose was to take the youngster to see Miniatur Wunderland, which is the most amazing scale model that you are ever likely to see in your life, but we were also able to take a two-hour Harbour Tour so that the young man, and the rest of us, could admire the enormous container ships that arrive. Truly impressive - if worrying that Europe needs to import such vast quantities of goods. Our hotel was within walking distance of the Wonderland and also of the new Elbephilharomie, which is the exceptional new concert hall that has recently been completed in the docks area. Even if you have no intention of going to a concert, you should go up on the unusually long escalator to the Foyer area and Auditorium entrance because, on this level, you can walk all the way around the perimeter of the building and enjoy the amazing views.
As for the hotel, the beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and properly equipped. Our rooms were at the back looking down onto an enclosed garden area with one or two mature trees and some grass that needed a bit of a trim! The breakfasts were excellent, true German style,
Me and my boyfriend have just came back from a weekend away for his birthday. Had a lovely stay at this hotel and cannot fault it at all. We forgot plugs and asked the lad at reception for some and he was more than helpful and got them for us. We also asked for an iron and he gave us this too. Any questions we had he was very helpful to answer and let us check in at 2pm as the room was ready before 3pm. Reeperbahn and St. Pauli are within walking distance and the train station is close by to get to and from airport! Would definitely stay here again.
