Great food, sweet, friendly and helpful owners/staff. Absolutely lovely. Public transport isn’t convenient but they compensated for that by picking us up at the train and once there, one wants to just relax and enjoy. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Lovely hotel not far from the Rhine. Staff were very friendly & spoke English well. The public rooms are lovely & lovely terraces to sit out on & enjoy a drink. Dinner was absolutely fabulous, they are obviously have a fantastic chef & team. Room was a bit disappointing, small but fairly functional but nowhere to do hair & makeup & layout any toiletries. Manageable for 1 night but will book a bigger room next time

We felt like we found a hidden gem when we selected this hotel in an impromptu fashion during our loosely planned trip up the Rhine valley... Our room was tiny but beautifully done, with floor-to-ceiling windows toward the vineyards. Dinner in the onsite dining room was delicious, as was breakfast which was included in the price. Ironically, we are not wine drinkers but if you are, this place is most definitely for you!

The hotel owners were genuinely concerned about our satisfaction. Even help us resolve automobile issues after a long day on the road. Our suite was perfect. Breakfast was wonderful. Thanks so much for making our stay in the rhein one we won't forget.

Very nice hotel with a nice restaurant, I only wish that we'd arrived early enough to fully enjoy the suite. Also very helpful with getting milk for our little ones, including leaving extra for us for during the night.

No A/C, super hot and stuffy, we can't even open the window since bugs is none stop flying in, we killed over 10 bugs when we go into the room since they left the window open. We have to go to reception to get a tiny fans that you can only feel the breeze within 1 feet. The water in shower keep changing hot to cold, cold to hot, the lights in the bathroom keep turning on and off itself too. Location is deep deep in the town. People not stay at the hotel will go there to have dinner, so limited parking for the hotel guest that stay there.

Overall a wonderful place! The hotelier was very understanding because of my late arrival. They had placed my hotel key in an envelope on the registration desk for me even thought the check-in desk was closed. The room isn't huge but is comfortable and very clean; same for the bathroom. The location is at the edge of a small town and very secluded so very quiet for light sleepers. Breakfast was great and the small touch of putting my name on a plate to note which table was mine was particularly nice (see picture).

"Schlößchen" translates as 'little castle' or 'Chateau' and this place does not come close to that in any way, shape, or form. There are more than enough real castles and chateaus that have wonderful views of the Rheine, while this place is stuck up a little valley going away from the Rheine..
