I've been staying at this place for several years with a short break between 2020 - 2025. It's disheartening to see how this property has decayed (maintenance and service wise.) over the years due to obvious neglect. Airport shuttle service has declined significantly with the limited hours. Things went downhill shortly after NH was purchased by Minor Hotels. I had the pleasure of experiencing this place in the years prior. It's how I fell in love with it. It's how NH earned my trust. I always seek out an NH hotel since I can count on the consistency. The decay isn't limited to this property. All the NH Hotels I've visited are in disrepair. There's a clear lack of maintenance, upkeep, and staffing. This specific location (Raunheim) must be the worst. Room cleanliness quality is in decline. The sleeping area and bathroom lack attention to detail. Toilets have yellowish-brown stains, bathtubs, sinks, showers have grime. Floors and carpets are dirty. Upper management must course correct with housekeeping, this is crucial. Public areas are in slightly better condition. The property is due for renovation. Minor Hotels needs to invest some cash into this brand. Rooms need an update and the pool (at this property) needs to be restored. My biggest dissatisfaction is the broken gym equipment (pictured). The same machine at each NH has been broken since 2017. It's baffling and comical at this point. Nearly 10 years with broken equipment. When do you plan on fixing/replacing?

The room was just fine—nothing fancy, but everything that you would need (although, oddly, no fridge). But we arrived at a time when the airport shuttle bus wasn't running and tried to call the hotel repeatedly, to ask the best way to get to the hotel from the airport, and nobody picked up, for well over an hour in the middle of the afternoon. The finally picked up and said that there had been only one staff member and they had been busy checking in guests and couldn't answer the phone, but didn't seem particularly apologetic. There should be instructions in the welcome email, explaining how to get to the hotel if the shuttle is not running. Also, a small (0.5L) bottle of water in the lobby costs €4. Ridiculous. Overall, I was not impressed with the service, but thought the building and room itself were fine.

Perfect location

Room was never properly cleaned, floor and carpet was always dirty even after being “cleaned”. Sheets in the bed were never changed the pillows smelled and had stains. My room key stopped working a total of 3 times. I attempted to dine at the restaurant a total of 4 times and was never able to.

Airport shuttle is to run at the hour and half hour. Was outside early for 9:00 shuttle, which apparently got stuck in traffic. It arrived at 9:15 and then the driver insisted that because of the traffic we now had to wait to leave until 9:30 am. This is a SIGNIFICANT time difference and could have been handled much better!!!

I did not like that the only option for dinner was a $25 buffet. Breakfast cost $15 which was high based on what you got. Also had to pay for airport shuttle which you do not in the US. Very male dominant staff and guests which made me feel uncomfortable traveling as a single woman.

Poor customer service

I've stayed in NH hotels before and the value fir money is good. Rooms are spacious. This one even had a very nice restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The only issue I had was with the air condition thermostat. It seemed defective. The room was rather warm and uncomfortable during a hit summer day & night.

Well located hotel with good transport options. Room uncomfortable because of poor air conditioning. Hotel needs some updating.

I loved the eclectic look of my room and the unique lighting.
