Novotel Suites Hannover City

The hot water kettle was very dusty and dirty. No amenities (such as dental kit, shaving kit, even a hair comb - which are the basics) in the bathroom. Staff were robotic with no willingness to reach out and help or even suggest local places.

Dear Expedia Customer Relations, I am writing to formally complain about Expedia reservation booked for my recent vacation on Jun 4-6,2026. Novotel Suites Hannover, Germany. Based on the information, photographs and descriptions on Expedia’s website, I reasonably expected high-quality accommodation. Unfortunately, the property is significantly misrepresented, and I felt misled as a customer. • The hotel is located in a drug-tolerance, super dirty area that felt unsafe. This fact is omitted on the webpage. • The walk to the hotel from the station passes through urinals, addicts and constant police activity. • The property is outdated, with aging facilities and furnishings. • There is a very busy and loud bus station right in front of the lobby that operates through the night. As a traveler, I rely on Expedia to provide accurate and transparent information when making purchasing decisions. Had the property’s true condition and surrounding area been accurately represented, I would not have selected this hotel. This hotel should not be even listed on Expedia. Where is the vetting process / quality control of the properties you publish and sell? I respectfully request that Expedia review this booking and provide appropriate compensation for the significant discrepancies. Compensation in form of a full refund or travel credit. I have pictures to prove the above statements.

A decent place to stay close to the train station. Staff were helpful, but wish the hotel had a restaurant that was open in evening. Rooms were clean and quite spacious.

Breakfast was good. Room quiet. Stores for shopping very close to the hotel.

Though there were a lot of homeless in the vicinity that's probably normal for properties so near to a main railway station. Very helpful and friendly staff and very close to the main food street on that side of the track and 5 mins from the old town and its food mkt over the line.

Great and helpful stuff. Room very clean and comfortable. Good quality breakfast products and big choice of breakfast products for everyone .

The hotel is convenient to the city center, train and tram services. The room was very spacious by European standards plus the room had a microwave and refrigerator so a big plus. The only issue was upon arrival from an international flight, a room was not ready which was fine, but then when I asked for the baggage to me stored until check in time I was told that there wasn’t t enough room in the storage area and that I would need to just leave it without it being secured and was offered to then purchase a locker for my backpack but my large luggage would not fit so I would need to leave it out. This don’t seem appropriate as a paying customer, there must be some system that hotel staff can figure out when people will be traveling in and to expect them to have luggage- especially international travelers and those staying for multiple nights- there should be some alternative storage space hotel staff can store bags. For example if they know the room they will place you in but it just needs cleaning - why not place the bags there and then when the room is clean you can check in. It’s not suitable to not offer an accommodation to a guest.
