Quirky hotel. Rooms very comfortably and homely. Right next to arena which is very handy if you are going to the concert, but can be a little annoying if you are not. There was a dance party on a Saturday night and the deep bass thump thump was coming through the room… I would guess this didnt happen often and no fault of the hotel

Arrived late caused by traffic on Autobahn. However this hotel is very special and unique from other hotels we usually visit. The hotels exterior is covered in wood. Super modern look and has a natural appeal to it. But the structure itself is made of concrete so idk how Eco-friendly the whole matter is. + for friendly staff, warm room and really clean and tidy. Since I come from the Nordic I can only refer to a Sauna in total, with all birch wood, wood essence & temperature. Cool experience, but slightly overpriced I would say.

This was a very enjoyable stay, all the staff were first class. It was so good to find that talking in English was no problem. The only criticism was that he shower had no limit on the heat so one has to be very careful in its use.the hotel was super clean.

The building is striking: wood clad outside and (mostly) inside, with a commitment to sustainability showing in various details. It is located in Hamburg's green belt is pleasant, with fast and easy access to the city by train, but the local area is not so interesting. Half of the rooms face the railroad line to Hamburg, which can be noisy. But the other half, including the room where we stayed, are quiet.

We had 3 nights here while visiting Hamburg on holiday. Location was convenient to the S-Bahn, with a train every 10 minutes to/from the Hbf, so we could get anywhere quickly. Staff were helpful. The restaurant & bar was lively - we had a drink at the bar, but didn’t try the restaurant though patrons were enjoying themselves. The room was clean, with nice timber fit out. However, it didn’t have any tea/coffee facilities in the room. We were able to get a cup of hot water from the bar. Make sure to use the “do not disturb” sign since housekeeping arrives quite early.

The hotel is lovely. Beautiful rooms with the woodland theme. Interesting woodland exhibition in the hotel and a truly different selection of books on sale in the lobby. The wifi is a pain. At least when used with an iPhone. I kept having to find a new webpage to open to force a reacceptance of the T's & C's. I'm retired now, but for a business traveller this MUST be improved.

Not much going on in the neighbourhood but our plan revolved around staying here and cycling into Hamburg on Stadt bikes (located 2 mins from the hotel). Worked out perfectly. Great ride to Hafen city and miniatur wonderland. Nice eco hotel.

I booked this hotel simply because it was close to an event venue but we really fell on our feet. The staff were exceptionally helpful, the restaurant was excellent and the price was good. My only criticism was that the rooms were a bit too warm for me but that's not a big deal. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed there for three days as part of our holiday in Hamburg. The hotel is situated in a new (2013) Eco development and is itself run along Eco lines. It is an interesting departure from the usual hotel and the staff were exemplary. The hotel is a short train journey into Hamburg and the service is frequent. The room was large and well appointed. The reception staff were friendly and informative. The restaurant provided a good quality of continental breakfast. We tried their evening fare on one occasion and it was tasty and very well presented. The restaurant manager, Katerina, was extremely friendly and no request was too much for her.

Stay was ok, difficult for cars to get to, very unpleasant on your own to have to walk late at night in the dark in such isolation. Disappointing to only have something to drink late at night. Bread was stale at breakfast, and fruit looked dried out. Room was comfortable and not too warm.

Lovely hotel, close to public transportation which takes you within minutes to DT Hamburg...BUT....restaurant was closed the 2 nights we were there...due to private function! So....after just having arrived from a 12 hour trip from Canada we now had to stumble through the night in an unknown city/neighborhood trying to find something to eat! Unacceptable..part of the restaurant MUST stay open for hotel guests...

Located several stops from the Altstadt/Hauptbahnhof, it was the perfect location for us. Extremely quiet at night and very friendly service. The only thing that would have made it perfect is if it would have had it's own parking facility. There is a Parkhaus next to the hotel, but that's public and there is not direct access to the hotel, which made for some inconvenience with a lot of luggage. In the middle of an area designed with alternative environmentally-friendly building options, it's also a great reminder of what we have and what we need.
