Nice property but very far out of Düsseldorf

Absolutely Fabulous! Overall is amazing place to stay, relax, enjoy and Explore local area.

The hotel itself is lovely, you can see that a lot of effort has been put into the decor - especially the terrace area. Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay too much. My partner ordered the mushroom risotto and let’s just say it did not sit well with him. On top of that it was the most overpriced food we ever had in a hotel. I ordered a starter soup and it was less the size than a cappuccino cup. My salad was 21 euros, which is already overpriced but then it was also disappointingly basic. A big chunk of green leaves with two round goats cheeses. Barely anything else. Maybe 2 chopped up tomatoes and 5-6 tiny pieces of cucumber. Less than a spoonful of apple ragout. In the morning light we saw that the toilet seat was very stained. It looked clean but that’s still unappealing and I hope they‘ll replace it. The shower drain was clogged up, too. So the bathroom can do overall with a better upkeep.

We had a lovely stay, the hotel was clean, comfortable and modern. The only things missing in the rooms were a kettle and a fridge. Reception staff were very helpful booking taxis for us, however we did find that we were overcharged on numerous occasions by the taxi drivers.

A really nice hotel for a few days to explore the area. A very nice outdoor restaurant area with plenty of big parasols to provide cover. We stayed in the slightly larger “Delux rooms” and these rooms were fairly recently renovated and in top class. I really could not find any faults with the room as such, apart from the fact that these rooms (in the old part of the hotel) do not have air conditioning. This was an issue for us in mid August when it was 33 degrees (outside and probably hotter in the room), but won’t be an issue most times of the year. For the first night they had run out of portable fans, which you think they should provide all these rooms. We got fans the second night, probably because I requested this early in the morning... We were not disturbed by any noise and rooms had blackout curtains. However if the hotel is hosting e.g. a wedding, i can see how the noise may travel to many of the rooms. The swimming pool and relaxation area is top notch and our kids loved the time in there. There is free WiFi in the hotel, but the WiFi coverage in the room was very patch and you had to keep very close to the corridor for it to work. I had to to revert to using my mobile phone 4G for some work sessions. Overall it is a very good hotel and we would certainly consider staying again, but would then consider the slightly small standard rooms, which would provide air conditioning and be at a cheaper price.

Very neat hotel, extremely nice Kitchen and very high level of hospitality. I dont know how the conditions in Summer is, but I can easily recommend the facility

We had a great weekend (1 night stay) relaxing, swimming and enjoying the sauna. The hotel is in a residential area which is quite nice and quiet, close to city center. Nice restaurants, great service and free parking. Wonderful breakfast. Nice, large room, comfy bed. Only the WiFi was very weak in the room and the gym was very small and not suitable for a proper workout.

The hotel was located within walking distance of the town with excellent local shopping and services. The hotel was modern with good amenities and excellent breakfast buffet and higher end dinner cuisine. The staff was efficient if not overtly friendly. I had informed them that our flight lands early in the morning at 6 AM and was given a room after breakfast at 10 AM. The stay was marred as they gave us a room for our week long stay, which was directly above a wedding function on our last night. When we returned to room after dinner and inquired, staff said it would go on to 4 AM. We requested a change of rooms and spent almost two hours between packing and relocating and was given a newly renovated room by the restaurant waitstaff doubling as front desk and housekeeping after the regulars left. Since hotel knew wedding was taking place well in advance, why were we assigned an older room above the function which caused the floor of the concrete room to shake. Also the original unrenovated room had a shower stall with double doors which didn't seal correctly so the water created a small flood in the bathroom each day which was abated by putting towels around the stall. The staff had to pick up ten pounds of wet towels each day. On checkout, front desk waived the set of breakfast and drinks we had in the restaurant and bar to address our inconvenience. I would recommend the hotel if you're able to get a newer room which wasn't listed on the travel sites I viewed.
