We had a great apartment which was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The hotel is well located, and has several swimming pools, super gardens and very friendly staff.
Our special thanks to Michalis in the restaurant, who used to look after our special dietary requirements and brought fresh pies to our table every breakfast time. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in this area.

Loved the amout of space for 4 people in the same room, very clean, close to resturants and shops. Great customer service. Everyone was so nice.
Depending on what you plan to do on crete. You will probaly need a rental car if leaving the area of the hotel. Also, about 1 hour dive to next major city in crete. If you want to stay away from crowds this is the place to stay.

It would have been fine for third/half the price. Lots of problems in the room wihch were partly sorted out. I understand it is supply and demand but for the cost I woudl expext it to be much nigher standard.

Grand Leoniki is a legitimate resort that is well worth the less than €50/night we paid for it. Our one-bedroom suite included a full kitchen with all appliances and was located right next to a large pool. We were able to stay and enjoy the pool for several hours after checkout. The resort is located a 3-5 minute walk from the beach and restaurants, bars, shops, and markets are even closer. The bus to Rethymno is less than €2 and tickets can be purchased at the mini mart before boarding. You pick it up just outside a wonderful little cafe/bar called La Strada, which is worth a visit while you wait. If you’re looking to visit Rethymno but want to avoid some of the city crowd, Grand Leoniki is a good choice.

The Grand Leoniki is a luxury resort, 4 or 5 star in quality, that has everything you could ask for - beautiful pools and lounging areas, lovely suites, excellent food and entertainment, all amid gorgeous buildings and grounds. The only negative is the parking, which is behind the property, difficult to find and not always available.

Great location, very large hotel compound that encompasses the Leoniki Residence and the Grand Leoniki with 2 outdoor pools, spa facilities and in house dining. Although I found the cost of breakfast a bit much at €11, the dinner buffet provided a good selection and was worth the €17 cover. However, we opted to do that just one night and explore the local tavernas on other nights. Staff was welcoming and friendly, and rooms cleaned every day (except Sunday). The spa facilities and gym are small but functional with a good deal on spa treatments. There is no private parking but you can find parking on the roads nearby (can be hard to find a spot late at night though). Beaches are a few minutes walk and there are so many amazing local tavernas to choose from. I’d happily stay here again.

Lovely place and genuinely friendly staff. The room was very nice and right next to one of the 3 pools, i was self catering but ate at the pool bar a couple of days and the food was good and reasonably price. The location is also excellent as right in the heart of platanes but not noisy and straight across from the beach. Also access to both Rethymno and Adelianos kampos is easy from this hotel and both worth a visit.

We had a studio apartment which was well designed and spacious with necessary fittings for self catering stay. There are very good facilities attached including a number of swimming pools, sauna and small gym. There is also a steam room, although this was not working during our stay. The attached restaurant is well worth using on occasion. Very good value for the wide range of starters and mains included in the all in price. Grand Leoniki staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in the newer part of the resort and
our review is based on this. The location of the resort is in Platanes which is about 5km from Rethymno. There is a regular bus service. It was just pre season when we we were there. There are plenty of places to eat, although some were still closed. We used the Beetle Bar Restaurant (VW on roof) quite a lot and this was good value with excellent ambience and service. Platanes runs parallel to a long and largely underdeveloped sand beach. Sea too cold but good for long walks.

One of the most comfortable, high standard hotels we have stayed at in Greece. The rooms to pool areas are large spacious and clean, all finished to a high standard. There complex boats three outdoor pools and an indoor wellness centre with pool, jacuzzi, sauna and tennis court. Staff were very friendly and externally chilled out!
We visited in April and the resort was quieter than normal but the room provides you with everything you need to do a bit if hone cooking or the hotel kitchen is here H&M standard and cheap for what is on offer!

Great room but I was given a room right far end of the hotel so it took a long time to get from the main entrance, and it was next to the dual carriage way. I am sure there were other rooms available because I was only there two nights and fortunately I am a deep sleeper I did not complain. Overall, it looks like a great hotel but not near town and bus is not always convenient but if you had time you can walk into town which would take an hour along the beach.

Absolutely perfect in every way. High standard accommodation with huge comfy Superking, plenty of wardrobe space, fluffy white towels and quality toiletries proved. Well equipped kitchen and good aircon. We even had a pool right outside the room. Swam every day in the main pool (there are 3). Breakfast freshly cooked - omelette on demand. Check in at 1 am was friendly and we were even taken to our room by a super efficient and helpful security guard who took the time to explain everything despite the time! Would recommend it to friends.
