The hotel is well maintained, clean, and spacious. Not congested like in Kowloon or Mongkok. Budget friendly. We stayed here for 4 days at a very affordable price. They also provide a shuttle too, which is very convenient if you're going to use the MTR.

The experience was good. I loved my stay at the hotel especially the sea side view it was mesmerizing however I did not like how the front staff talked to me was bit rude, being service providers, one should be polite and nice no matter wherever the guest is from. I feel I was discriminated being Indo-Fijian.

Bathroom is a bit rusty and outdated. There is no power point to use hair dryer. No USB socket for charging. Blanket is so thin to keep the body warm. Luggage storage is $150/piece/day is incredibly.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the staff. They are very friendly and provided great service. The room are spacious but they need to maintained better. The shower tub is cracked and water is seeping in. The toilet seat is smaller than the toilet bowl and also misaligned to 1 side. The toilet paper holder is not fully secured to the wall. The underside of the sink is exposed. Long story short, the hotel room is very poorly maintained.

This is definitely not an eight star is listed on Expedia. The towels are as thin as your shirt. The bed is as hard as a rock. The sheets are torn and have spots on them. The couch is small and hard. The floor is cracking and peeling, and there are no outlets for foreigners. It’s 2026 and they still don’t have USB plugs. They make you buy one in the machine downstairs. somebody must be using AI to bump up the rating on this hotel because it’s definitely not an eight.

Spacious and clean room. The bathroom could be bigger or different layout, e.g. door opens outward. Quiet. Saw the beach but it rained on the days i visited. Shuttle is good, especially the choice of drop off at two different subway stations. Breakfast is average.

Room is dated however in general clean. We had to change rooms twice due to the cigarette smell in some of the room. Staff was very helpful and tried to fulfill request at their best. Hotel had so much potential with a facility upgrade eg furniture absorbing cigarette smells and water pipes with better water pressure in the shower. The water pressure in the bathroom sink had better pressure than the shower head. Great shuttle bus service and bus stop to tsuen wan is right opposite hotel. Close to airport. Wouldn’t fault for this price but this place has so much more potential than it currently presents

This property was pretty clean and the staff were never nice and attentive; especially at the restaurant where they were very kind and gracious. Overall, the property had very large rooms and beautiful scenery being on the rocky beach. It was also just about 20 minutes fro. Hong Kong Disney, which is why I selected them with such a great low nightly rate and being so close to the park. It's not a close walk to anything for food, so you would have to eat at the restaurant or order delivery. The had a daily shuttle to take you to the train station to help get around Hong Kong, or you can easily order a taxi or use Uber. I would consider staying here again

Due to the Middle East conflict we had to cancel our trip to Hong Kong as our flight journey required transit through Middle East to Hong Kong. We requested a refund from the Hotel thru Expedia. The Grand Bay View refused our request stating our hotel reservation was non refundable. We explained to them that our situation was out of our control as the UK government site advised against all but essential travel to the UAE and your travel insurance could be invalidated if you travel against advice. We have applied to 2 other hotels that we would have been staying at during our trip to Hong Kong, Both hotels have fully refunded our money back in full!! (these were non refundable too!) This just shows, in adversity certain people or establishment step up to the mark whilst others don’t!

We had a late check in. The staff was ok they were quick to emphasize no smoking and where bottled water was located. We had no octopus card nor HKD, only means of purchase, the way they helped was “you’ll have to boil water”. Not helpful at all after long day of travel. When we entered our room the smell of smoke was overwhelming. The room was very old and tired. Shuttle to the metro was nice.

The room is great. I don’t mind older rooms as long as they’re clean, and I was pleasantly surprised that the air‑con vent cover and bathroom fan cover were very clean — many hotels overlook those areas. The only downside was the bathroom sink. There is visible mould along the top seal, noticeable in the mirror reflection, which made us uncomfortable using it. The toilet is also quite old and the flushing is not very strong.
