Hotel Rangá

The rooms are not large but they are clean and atmospheric. The amenities were good, we used the hot tub and ate at the bar which was more family friendly cuisine (and prices) than the restaurant. Breakfast was fantastic. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and assisted us when we had a flight cancellation.

Excellent dinner and good service

Breakfast is included and can be ordered from the menu or you could eat from the breakfast already prepared. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious, I would definitely recommend the splurge!! The hot tubs were a welcome addition to the end of a busy sightseeing day. The bar staff was enjoyable to talk with as well. Overall excellent stay.

Breakfast was good and staff were helpful when I couldn’t figure out how to use the waffle maker. The bar staff seemed talented at drink making. But the absolute best part of this hotel was that we had a room that looked out over the car park, doesn’t sound like a win but it had a door which I stepped out of every ten minutes when I thought the lights might be coming and then when they did we were near the room which had the door to the other side of the building so I literally ran between one side of the building and the other in about a minute and got to enjoy the best northern light show ever. We did specifically pick the hotel for the telescopes though and I am not sure if they are actually used them that frequently due to clouds

Amazing rooms, even better service and excellent restaurant. The service stands out from the front desk, to housekeeping to restaurant.

Staff friendly. Room was excellent. The food was the best. Was comfortable and relaxed for the entire stay.

The breakfast was varied and readily available first thing in the morning. We had a boxed lunch prepared for our day trip and while bait pricey, it was high quality and filling. We had dinner the first night and enjoyed appetizers and the main courses, especially the seafood choices.

Loved everything about this hotel! It had a rustic look but was modern other than that. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the extra amenities like the hot tubs, pool table and observation tower. Such a nice bonus that they do an Aurora wake up call so you don't miss the Northern Lights. The staff was friendly. Loved that the owner was present on the property and mingling with guests. The bar and restaurant were amazing! The food was wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Iceland!

Fantastic stay at Hotel Ranga! We enjoyed dinner and the breakfast buffet. It was a wonderful place to see the northern lights and relax in the hot tubs under the stars! 10/10 recommend.

Absolutely loved the hotel, comfortable, quiet, and with a great atmosphere. Nice touch with a welcome drink before our delicious dinner. Definitely recommend this
