Sonesta Inn

We've walked past the Sonesta Inn snd always wanted to stay there - now we have and it was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful and everywhere was kept clean and tidy. It was better than many we've stayed in but our bathroom could do with a bit of improvement- a tiny bit of dsmp mould (where it doesn't really matter anyway), poor quality toiletries (no haid conditioner, and you do need it there) and no spare toothbrush toothpase, comb etc. Very comfortable bedchairs and big brollies.

Great property, amazing access to a quaint beach. Mostly older tourists so it’s quiet. Pay the $4 for inclusive meals and thank me later :) The check out inspection feels a bit offensive. People paying this much aren’t going to destroy rooms.

A bit of a hidden gem - lovely gardens, attentive to every detail in the pool area, the pool staff so responsive & caring! Access to taxi, bars & the beach for sunrise sunset walking. Spacious room & very peaceful environment.

We had a lovely stay at Sonesta, the staff were very excellent and couldn't do enough for you. We were located in the best rooms so really happy about that. The location is perfect...a 3 min walk to the beach and then you can walk along the beach to Calangute where all the seafront restaurants are. If you wanted to venture towards the main roads, there are plenty of restaurants there also. Buffet breakfast was good and changed a few items every day.

Stay was good. Breakfast and dinner included in package were not having good spread. Overall room cleanliness ans condition were good.

This hotel has been a regular stop for us. Very clean rooms pool and open spaces the only reason I have marked down is the rooms could do with small updates- re paint the walls, new sockets and not very user friendly when try to get ready in the evening, the lights are dim and the chair near the mirror not the right height. Also the air con is noisy.

Gym facilities not working, jacuzzi not working and spa was “closed for the season”. Food and everything was very expensive. But nice location and very clean and very helpful staff

It it amazing hotel

Staff were all very helpful and accommodating, almost anticipating what you were about to ask for. Room was spacious and air-con excellent. Hotel food was great, with a large selection to suit most tastes, but there were also lots of local places within a short walk. A short garden walk straight onto the beach and a few hundred metres off the main road, so pleasantly quiet. Smallish resort, with only about 60 rooms, but wonderfully personal.

Good Service by hotel staff and nice location. Also close to the beach.

A hotel with great charm but in need of refurbishment if my room is anything to go by. Food was OK but nothing special. A great pool but sunbeds mostly have black plastic cushions which get SO hot unless you cover them with towels in advance. Numerous power cuts, mostly I was told as a result of the local power company's problems. Wi-Fi was good but I had to log in several times a day. Being so close to the beach is a big advantage over many others in the area.

When the staff go out their way to help, accommodate and facilitate ... you know you are on a winner. From pool attendant to food and beverage manager and pool / bar staff all helped anyway they could. A 50 room resort ... everyone knew your room number anytime and most knew your name. Always happy to talk and help. Simple things like the same spot at the pool... towels out waiting or the beverage you like make life just a little easier. The rooms are clean an tidy... but due to their wooden doors ans Windows and own front doors and now double glazing ... the lose a lot of AC coolness ... so we had ours on 24/7. Noisy ... but got used to it. Always hot water ... bed was a little hard ... but good tv channel choice and comfy enough! It was quiet and relaxing in the rooms and around the pool ... except when a large group of weekenders from Dehli arrived. But impressively the staff kept on top of them. Food was always good. Prices when we went in April were very good for food/ drink and accommodation. Beach is a short 2 min walk from the pool. Main restaurants and roads were 5 mins walk. A lot of people around the pool appeared to be repeat visitors ... prehaps that says the most of a review.

Stayed for 6 days and will stay again. The pool wad clean and so nice did not go to beach where the sand and roaming dogs are. Breakfast is great and filling. Room service delivers the food hot and fresh. A taxi was waiting for me upon my arrival at airport. Something I asked the hotel to arrange. Reasonoble rates and great location.

Sonesta is conveniently located just next to candolim beach. One can walk down to peaceful n silent beach through the hotel itself. This beach is anytime better than regular calangute n bagha if one likes to enjoy the relaxing sounds of ocean tides. Hotel staff is co operative. Pool is clean. Hotel is green all around and is very near to market making it suitable for families. Veg food in the hotel is not very good and breakfast options are less. If hotel is full, visit little early for breakfast to avoid crowd in the sitting area.

Business Trip to Goa in off season. Resort is well located on shoreline. The Resort is average at best. Plumbing and electrification is worn out and needs overhall. Rooms and beds otherwise OK. Did not use pool or other facilities. Breakfast also average.

The place was much better than expected, a pleasent surprise. Well maintained, beautiful property, great service, F&B reasonably priced. Next to candolim beach, section almost like a private beach. Great pool with life gaurd at most times.. awesome place. Location is ideal with resraurants , market and easy beach access. Forget everything and just checkin...you will have a great time

Well maintained property and wonderful service by staff. Little away from happening places, no pub nearby, shopping >1 km away. If you are looking for shacks, pubs, beach parties then better stay near Calangute / Bagha beach.
