Archie Hotel 2

Real review, neither exaggerated nor diminished. Expectations of a comfortable place turned out to be wrong. From the outside it looks like an abandoned building like an old building, the stairs to the lobby are so muddy that they are not cleaned and made dry, rainwater pools left dangerously slippery, the first impression when entering and going to the reception is that the place is poorly lit, adding to the impression that the place is not maintained even more visible. Got a room on the 1st floor, when going down the stairs below, I was greeted by messy janitor's equipment in the corner of the hallway leading to the room, in the hallway the lighting is normal, it even feels scary and damp. Entering the room when opening the door, there was a pungent musty smell (even though the hotel staff checked the room before giving me the key), the room was damp as if it had never been occupied and rarely cleaned, the floor was dirty, in the corners there was dust and termite marks, the walls at the head of the bed were moldy, it looked like a damp room, plus there were cockroach wing marks that made me sure the room had not been cleaned and never used. Entering the bathroom, it smelled musty, stuffy, the lighting was not too bright, it felt like horror. When I lay down on the bed, my body immediately started itching, plus the sheets, pillows, and even the towels all smelled musty, which further confirmed that the room was rarely used and the musty smell was like the room lacked air circulation, which was very pungent. I saw dusty tables that also looked shabby and the guests seemed to be deserted, seen during breakfast from 7 to 8:30 at the restaurant, there was only 1 person having breakfast. The AC in the room was also noisy and when I saw the AC was dirty, it had never been washed/cleaned, the only thing that was better was hot water. Plus, in the room on the 1st floor, the cellphone signal was completely lost, even if there was only 1 bar and it couldn't be used for calls or internet, and there was no Wi-Fi facility. Just a suggestion to the hotel management, pay attention to the comfort of guests who stay.

The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful during check in and check out.

WiFi can only be in the hotel lobby, not to the room and the WiFi signal in the lobby is ugly.

Room is quite comfortable and the location is quite strategic only about 5 minutes walk to Ternate's famous beach shore of Falajawa and Ternate Landmark, lots of convenient stores and eateries within walking distance and is situated in the city center...

I stayed here because many hotels in Ternate Full. I booked Archie 2 in an online application, with a slight price difference with Archie 1. I went to Archie 2, passed it to Archie 1 (in front of it). the room is very unsatisfying (sorry). the atmosphere was gloomy, the air conditioner leaked, the TV tube. apologize for my honest review

The bedroom & bathroom quite wide but unfortunately I found spider web in both. The remote for TV can't operate, also my room was different from the reservation, I book single bed but I got twin bed. The hotel needs improvement in hospitality. The breakfast was nice but lack of restaurant services. The area was good, close to the beach & sea port.

For hotel standards, the hotel is lacking maintenance, the air conditioner is sounding, even to the point of removing grains and clumps of ice cubes hehe funny. The shower is also not maintained, the faucet cannot be locked, so the water comes out of 2 shower channels and the towel faucet is very small, the toiletries are incomplete, only small soap is provided and the toothbrush must buy shampoo in the GSM internet kiosk and signal there is very difficult, wifi not provided, it is very difficult for online communication.
