Kubudiuma Villas

I could not stay at this hotel. I stayed one night and left the next day. It would be fine for maybe young surfers or I'm not sure. I just couldn't stay there.

Great staff, good breakfast. Very disappointed in the “villa” which has seen better days. Extremely tired room, bed uncomfortably soft, lighting very poor so unable to read (unless you sit outside and get eaten alive by the insects) Outside bathroom ok, particularly the shower, but the novelty of walking over the wet and leaf covered floor to use the sink and toilet soon wears off. Sleep deprivation was the biggest issue; noise from local boom-boom party until 3am on the first night, and noisy drunk neighbours at 2am the second night, and awoken at 8am both mornings by the generator on the building site. Paid for 4 nights, left after 2 nights. Also worth noting that it says adults-only, but that isn’t the case.

The villa was not as advertised. The bed was broken. The AC would barely work, and the noise levels made it impossible to rest.

The villas at the back of the property are very nice and spacious. The entrance to the property and the hotel section are a bit tired and under construction. The pool area could do with new/better lounge chairs and seating. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Nice simple place, lots of eating options, and beach nearby at the quiet end of Canguu. Simple, comfy and lovely staff.

Really nice stay. The expectation was quite basic and that is what is was but for the money and location was definitely worth the 5 stars. The bed was very comfortable, AC was good and quiet. The room would benefit from a trash can and brighter lights but otherwise it was excellent.

The staff were very friendly, and the property was very beautiful. Everything was perfect except there were a number of small ants in my room.

I stayed in Kubudiuma for 3 weeks! It was awesone! I wanted to extend but they were full and i was sad about it. I would have stay another 2 weeks there! Here is a deeper review if you want all info First: Service is impeccable. The staff is so so nice! Breakfast was geat also. It had choices of eggs, pancakes, juice and fruits. It's basic but it's perfect. My room is clean. It's a quiet area. It's near the beach and lots of restaurant. The bed is confortable. They clean the room every day with new towels every day. The bathroom is minimalist, i was not use to have the shower directly into my toilet, but you get use to it. At least the hot water is there and the water runs! You can have a good shower there! They offer laundry service which i found really useful! The gym isn't directly at the location, but it's a walkable distrance and it is a good place to work out. I had a great time. I would come back here anytime I was a female, traveling solo in a regular room and always felt safe.

Cute place super affordable with amazing staff. Bathroom was completely in the open and not too well kept which was a bit of a shame. Mattress and pillows were extremely soft

This is exactly what you pay for- it is 2 star so facilities are basic and minimal. However, the manager and staff go out of their way to make you comfortable and welcome. I suggest this is perfect for couples who want to be alone; as a solo traveller it was a little too quiet, as the pool is pretty basic, the beach is really for surfers, and lighting in the basic villa pretty low so difficult to read at night (tv but only local stations). Great place to see how real Bali lives, and plenty of dining options within walking distance.

Don’t stay here! I tried to stick it out for my 3-night booking, but couldn’t stay more than 1 night. 1. The bathroom sink did not drain and quickly collected stagnant water and dead bugs 2. The toilet leaked constantly, so the area around the toilet always had standing water 3. The remote to the AC did not work, and I was awake for a good portion of the night because the room was FREEZING. 4. There were large cracks between the wooden slats of the walls/floor/ceiling that I could see through. They were cleaning when I arrived, and immediately after it began to fill with bugs and geckos. It was impossible to walk across the floor without stepping on the huge ants. 5. When I woke up in the morning, there was a big piece of poop on the floor - definitely not from a gecko. So something much larger came in during the night. 6. Over the course of my stay, there were numerous small bugs and ants that I found in the bed. I disposed of them as I found them (which is why the owner didn’t find any when he took a video of the bed immediately after my departure to try to disprove me). 7. The bedding was stained and had holes - I think that some of the bugs in the bed came out of the mattress, pillows etc 8. The electricity turned on and off ranging from every few minutes to every few hours 9. The host was VERY unhappy that I was leaving, to the point that he slammed his hand against the car as I drove away …all of that and he refused to refund. Very unhappy!
