Probably the best value of any hotel where I’ve ever stayed. It’s a three minute walk to a beautiful beach and they have three lovely pools. And the rooms are enormous. We had an incredible time here I couldn’t recommend it anymore. And their restaurant is also excellence.

Great place to stay to explore canguu , very close to beach , staff are amazing , friendly and helpful . Clean rooms nice pool nice gardens ,great little restaurant , be aware its easy to over eat on the buffet breakfast , requiring a long nap by the pool😂 Would highly recommend this very place,well priced for the area . Weird moldy smell durning random times of the day/night. View of the wall, construction all day, AC has not been properly cleaned/maintained for a long time (if ever). Very friendly staff. No front desk/security staff at night. Inside the room everything looks like it’s about to fall apart. Great location.

Overall good experience

Great stay. Within the hotel grounds it creates a very quiet and laid back feel in the midst of a very busy Canggu. In a great location, walkable to many great bars and restaurants!

The staff were very friendly and helpful in many ways especially when i was sick. The breakfast was okay. There is a construction going on all day which was loud. The room is nice however there is no safe in the room for valuables. The bed and sheet was very comfortable i slept very well there.

2nd time staying and always a good option when staying at Echo Beach. Not far to the beach. The outdoor bathroom this time was not expected but ok as the only one in the room. Not all rooms are like that to be clear

Great place

This hotel was lovely, the rooms were huge and had a massive bathroom, the hotel offers three pools, this was nice to cool down on a hot afternoon. There is a cafe in the lobby where you also get a free welcome drink, all of the staff were really helpful and super friendly at the hotel. The hotel is in a great location a few minutes walk from the beach, many really good resturants and shops nearby and beach clubs are a short drive.

The property could use a refresher, but was very clean amd presentable. There is currently construction going on next door from 8:00am till 5:00pm mon-friday. The bar across the street plays karoke till midnight. That is aboit ot for the down side. The location is perfect for the beach. There are shops to be had nearby and ATM machines.

My stay at Pappilon was a pleasant one. Good hotel. Pros - The hotel is in a prominent place. Canggu being a prominent hub, everything is close by (eateries, the beach, pharmacy, etc.) The staff are excellent at their jobs and are very accommodating. They are generous with water bottles even with a single traveler. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The water pressure in the shower is satisfactory. The accent lights in the bedroom and bathroom are a nice touch. Cons - If you book a Grab for yourself (online taxi service like Uber), they will not pick you up in front of the hotel. They’ll drop you off there but will not pick you up. Due to the language barrier, I couldn’t completely understand why it is this way but this is the case. This could be an issue if you’re lugging heavy baggage during your trip and need to be picked up for the airport or another stay. Having said that, to go around the city at your own leisure, there is a bike rental place right across from the hotel. The bathrooms should be equipped with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner instead of the regular 2 in 1 shampoo and body wash. There are also no hooks in the bathroom to hang your towel/clothes from after you’re done with your shower. Most importantly, there was a window right above my bathtub with no blinds. While the likelihood of someone looking in might be less, it still made me feel rather uncomfortable to have windows with no blinds in the bathroom no less.

Great staff and nice hotel

I’ve always stayed at Papillon Echo Beach whenever I visit, as my frequent spa place is nearby. Canggu has grown a lot more vibrant over the years & it’s so much more convenient with lots of offerings (cafes, restaurants, bars, beach clubs) nearby. The bed is very comfortable & good room size. Floor is concrete which means no risk of dust mites & quite clean. Very good value for money! A small flaw now at the hotel is that there is major construction right beside the hotel, so you might get hammering, knocking & talking sounds from 8am. The pillow casing & sheets are slightly stained, but this doesn’t bother me as I use my own sheets & travel pillow. Hotel sheets smell nice thou.

I booked this accommodation for my dad. It turned out to be average, contrary to the pictures shown on Expedia. Staff has been alright however when my dad was trying to catch a taxi, they told him to walk away from the hotel if he isn’t willing to book a taxi they called. This unacceptable behaviour from hospitality staff.

Cool design, nice decor, good staff, great location. Except: you must get a room at the back. We had the poolside. The band over the road is very loud every night until after 11pm.

This hotel was so much better than we expected. Every room was space and the beds were the most lux and comfy. The area was quieter than most in Canggu area but had everything you need. The markets across the road and down towards the beach were good. Highly recommend.
