Fantastic experience overall. Stellar room, clean facilities, excellent breakfast menu options, and a friendly and helpful staff. There does appear to be challenges for people with disabilities given the stairs involved. The Art House and other lodgings are located on a fairly steep hill, which could be problematic if someone is not prepared for that. I would recommend the host communicating directly through my personal email rather than Expedia.

Art House was a fantastic place to stay! We were shown to our room by Colin who was absolutely lovely - he helped us with our luggage, gave us a tour of the facilties (fantastic!!!) made sure our room was set up (he noticed a light wasn't working and quickly took care of it) he gave us recommendations of the best pub and restaurants and really made us feel welcome and comfortable.
We loved having a kitchen space and both indoor and outdoor lounging areas.
The breakfast was top quality.

This is such a stylish and elegant place! And the optional add on breakfast was the best we had in all of Ireland. The porridge is delicious! We felt very welcomed and comfortable during our stay. Thank you.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Art House. When I checked in, David was very helpful in helping me get settled. He carried one of my bags and walked me to my room. Breakfast was tasty and they had a great selection of food which you order the night before. The location was great in terms of proximity to Derry's attractions and bars. The hotel is on a steep hill which wasn't a problem for me but might be an issue for people with mobility issues. The lounges were elegant and inviting and I appreciated having access to a kitchen for morning tea.

Beautiful building with classy decorations and furnishings, the bathroom was spotless, the bed was comfy, there was a kitchen for everyone to use and an outdoor area to be able to sit and relax, host was friendly and explained we could have tea and coffee and there was milk to use, it was in a nice area but big hill to walk up after a long day, I would happily stay here again.

Only downside is that it is located on a steep hill and so not convenient for people with disabilities. Well decorated and good breakfast although you had to go to another property. Only downside is that the beds are only doubles due to the size of the rooms. We are used to a King Size.

Loses all points for noise. Next to road that had continuous car noise. Got 1 hr of peace-sleep. Plus guests were noisy too. Drunks almost all night outside. Some guy banged on the door for a jump of his dead battery at 3am. Plus my rooms bathroom wasnt attached. Otherwise very cute. Aside the university. Just after peace bridge.

If anyone told me that our place in Derry was going to be the prettiest stay, I would have been shocked. We were greeted with a glass of proseco and assorted snacks in the lounge. We unpacked our bags, and went downstairs and spoke to more guests. The rooms and common arras are all art deco, giving an elegant feeling.
There are buses, but you can get to the walled city part of Derry easily from the Art House. It is very close to the River Foyle and the Harbor.
We would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay at Art House. Nice location only minutes away from all the main spots in Derry. Manager and owner very welcoming and chatty, gave us a quick tour on arrival and couldn't have been nicer, they even left a bottle of wine for my father in law's 60th.
Property very stylish with all amenities you need, full kitchen downstairs. Rooms very spacious and quirky and we had a lovely night's sleep. Extremely affordable and we will be back
