First, there was no working elevator and our room was on the fifth floor, which in Italy means six flights up. Second the air conditioning remote was withheld and given to us only when we paid €10 extra (they wanted €20 but with no working elevator I thought they should give it to us free, especially since one of us has a health condition that makes staying in a 90-degree room life-threatening. Third, the manager offered to let us stay a second night (and all our stuff already hauled up and air conditioning functioning) we agreed to, at half the Travelocity rate. But when we came to the hotel the second evening the clerk said he had no information about our extra day and told us we would have to stay somewhere else, and it took a half hour of arguing to hike up to our room with him to see that all our goods were intact still in our room, before he called someone and got the ok to take our payment for the extra day and let us go back to our room (where all our luggage as well as the safe with all our money and passports were)

The staff of hotel was nice. The location was 20 minutes walking distance from the main square in Rome and 5 minutes from the termini station or the bus shuttles that can bring you to the airport. Inside the hotel was dirty. Even tho they brought us clean towels the bathroom and the room was dirty. There is no air conditioning or fridge for hot summer days. We didn't eat breakfast there only because it looked dirty. We found a restaurant in front of the hotel Aquila Nera that made the best pasta all arrabiata.

I would not recommend staying here. Bugs in the washroom, blood stains from bed bug bites on the sheets, dirty towels and no AC rooms. The plugs hardly worked and neither did the switches.

The room was clean. I was in a single room at the front of the hotel. I was surprised (don't know why) that it was a single bed, but it was clean and comfortable. I had to leave my room to use the washroom down the hall but that was disclosed during my booking. The toilet didnt alway flush rught away and I had to wait a bit until it would flush but I dont know if that was an issue with the toilet specifically or just how they work in Rome. I was in the front room so there were city street noises (there was a loud animal noise (cat?bird? Not sure) but I'm usuallly not bothered by city sounds. I used earplugs (just in case- because of previous "noisy" reviews I had read) but I think I would have been fine without them. The location was great for sightseeing and access to restaurants. I almost cancelled my reservation after reading mixed reviews, but I'm glad I didn't. I stayed for 1 night in Rome and only needed it for sleeping. If you are looking for romantic, dreamy type luxury, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a clean, safe place to stay at a budget (I paid $112 cad) this is a good choice.

Average place for the price. Service was so inferior to all other hotels and resorts in which we have stayed. One of the front desk attendants literally told me I was causing him trouble when I went to ask him for an additional towel. Although other attendants in thus hotel went beyond their way to assist us with directions and questions.

Older hotel needs an update. Drain in bathroom floor needed some bleach. Kept shoes on in room. No A/C. Window had to be open for air so noise from tram, sidewalk restaurant and homeless doing drugs went on all night. Nice breakfast. Staff are friendly.

The check in was good but the front desk person from the afternoon was very rude. He laughed at me when I asked him a question and didn’t even answer my question. The room was good but it needs AC it would be better if it would have one.

The worst place you can go at Rome. Rooms are dirty, bathroom disgusting, used towells, all is very antique. Not at all recommended. We had to leave the first night, and they weren't diligent even though we had already paid a week in advance. The elevator wasn't working, and they gave us a 4th floor room. We were with two babies. Very poor treatment italian and indian staff. The worst experience.
