Candeo Hotels Osaka Namba

We stayed at Candeo Hotels Osaka Namba for 3 nights in May and overall had a good experience, mainly because of the excellent location. The hotel is only around 500 metres from Dotonbori and the Shinsaibashisuji shopping district, with countless restaurants, shops, arcades, and department stores nearby. This is definitely the biggest reason to stay here. The room was small at around 19sqm, but very clean, quiet, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Staff were friendly, attentive, and had a reasonable understanding of English. Google Translate helped a lot during our stay. Breakfast was decent overall, although western options were limited. One downside was the room temperature in the mornings. Heat and sunlight through the windows became very intense, so we needed to keep the air conditioning running on cold to stop the room heating up quickly. The room was comfortable again by afternoon and evening. The laundry facilities were unfortunately terrible. Everything required an app called AQ Connection with Japanese-only instructions and no coin or cash option. The dryers were also very inefficient and expensive compared to typical coin laundries elsewhere in Japan. Overall, while we enjoyed the stay, we felt AUD $1,000+ for 3 nights was a bit expensive considering the small room, average view, and poor laundry facilities. However, the location is outstanding and makes this hotel a strong option for exploring Osaka.

Our room was very clean and spacious. The hotel was beautiful as well with an incredible view of the city on the top floor. The spa was very clean and relaxing as well.

Very central hotel. Easy to get to places. Only thing i didnt like was the street noise we heard. Maybe because we were facing the street and were on the 3rd floor. Overall good experience

The location is absolutely perfect. Great Skyspa and although rooms were on the small size - they were clean and well maintained.

Fairly modern hotel in both communal areas and room. Along a busy street so heard some street noise but not a big deal. The onsen was very busy and regularly had loud children.

This hotel is very close to everything. The staff were wonderful, they also had luggage shipping services at the hotel.

Great location, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Wasn’t able to access the spa though as it was locked but no explanation visible.

Extra large bed, which was excellent. Laundry amenities are easy-to-use and conveniently located in the upper floor of the hotel. Onsen onsite. Convenient location close to main Dotonbori area. Room was a conservative size but comfortable, check-in and check-out easy.

The pictures online seemed like it was a different hotel then we stayed at. It was very small and very noisy. There were several large groups staying at the hotel that used the hallways as an extension of their room. The amenities were limited and the beds uncomfortable. The breakfast was more like dinner then breakfast. Two of the four days we ate out instead of at the hotel. The location is nice, right next to Dotonbori and the train station to Nara.
