Room is spacious for 4 of us . We stayed for 2days. Breakfast and hida dinner were very good especially on the 2nd day. Indoor and outdoor Onsen are good. However number of hair dryers apparently are insufficient and many guests were waiting for a while.

The property itself is so beautiful. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were as described and actually quite large. We really enjoyed the balcony. Note all rooms are smoking but as a non smoker it did not really bother me after they they used the spray.

The staff at the hotel are very friendly, and the room is tidy and clean. The hotel has a long history, which adds to its charm. My favorite part is the beautiful view—right by the river, it’s simply stunning! I will stay here again if visit Gero next time.

The BOSENKAN was a great experience. We really enjoyed the Onsen, even though it was our very first experience. The food was traditional, and there were a lot of new tastes for us which was nice. We were surprised by the large number of non-native workers there were. It did make understanding them difficult, and we felt it was less authentic. But we still enjoyed our stay! We will miss Mizuki-chan!

Dinner and breakfast options are 6,7pm we requested 7pm just walk up around 6 to look around and realized everything was preset so my food was sitting there an hour before I eat kinda sucks

There are no non-smoking rooms. The smell is too strong and feel suffocating. I booked the half board, the food is below average, would prefer having food from convenience store.

Overall, it was quiet, cosy and clean. Value for money. There were a number of facilities in the basement that were closed/covered hence not usable. Deco and room is clean but looks wise of hotel/lobby/room is/looks dated. Would suggest to remove the protection cap or cover or replace with a bigger one so that it fits universal travel adaptors as 2 out of 3 wall plugs was not usable due to universal travel adaptor not able to fit and have to resort to using the powerpoints for the TV / Fridge.
