Hotel Areaone Kushiro

The hotel is conveniently located near the JR station and the bus terminal. However, the room was rather small, and more like a Japanese "business hotel". The price was a little expensive, given the quality of the room. Breakfast was very average, and the selection limited. Hokkaido is a centre for dairy products and well known for its butter, but the buffet only offers margarine.

To be clear - this is a businessman's hotel located in the business district. We used it for a quick one night stop over so it was fine for us - however, perhaps not the best option for tourists (although it is near the JR Kurshiro station). There are NO conbinis within easy walking distance so you would be well advised to make use of the buffet breakfast which, at 800 yen, was good value. The only eating places in the evening are izakya (stand up bars) which were solely for business people. No English menus available. Free car parking is available for hotel guests in two parks just across the road from the hotel. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful although with limited English. The overall condition of the hotel is not new but has been well maintained and was very clean. Bed was somewhat hard but that might be a personal preference. Good onsite laundry facilities. Most importantly - there is nothing vaguely tourist related in the nearby vicinity.

The triple room was very small and lacked any space for three people's suitcases to be stored and accessed with any ease. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a variety of Japanese and Western offerings, it was well presented.

Good price with very good breakfast, definitely go here again next time to Kushiro.

Stayed here for 1 night. The hotel staff can't speak English but tried to communicate as much as she can. This hotel is like a business hotel within walking distance to washo market and nearby daiso/ Aeon.

The hotel is just 5 min walk from JR station and it is also near the restaurants. If you plan to see Japanese crane I think it is better to rent a car, because the bus is quite not often and tourist attractions are far from the city.

Location is great to travel out to natural area via public bus. Restaurant places are available. Near walking distance to JR station and bus terminal. Great value with breakfast! Washing machines are free to use.

Only here overnight. Good location for night time eating. Comfortable room. Guest parking easy and adequate.

For the rate of US$50 per room per night, we cannot expect more, as for double room they should provide a reasonable bed size fit for 2 adults and 2 chairs in the room

It is a few minutes' walk from the JR station and walking distance to the riverside area. The room is quite spacious per Japan's standard and it's in good condition. The free breakfast is quite decent. Overall, it's a good value choice.

THEY HELPED ME OUT HUGE. they had space for 2 more nights when I drove for 15 hours, and I was very happy to stay with them awesome breakfast place, and a great hotel if you need to stay in kushiro. a ltittle small, but hey, good service, good hotel, good location, and they give you Pajamas! it was a great place. I would recommend it if ur on a budget. nice area. close to restaurants. thanks for a great stay!

The room is decent for the price that we are paying. Its just that its quite a quiet neigbourhood and not that easy to find the hotel. About 10min walk. There is free humidifier to borrow too. The downside is there is no window in the room but an emergency exit door that can be opened. But being 2 girls, we feel insecure to open the door so we felt a bit stuffy in the room. (Well, you may asked why do we want to open the door in winter but we just want a bit of air circulation~)

Location is good. Just opposite the Kushiro station, that is the plus factor, and the delicious breakfast.
